Great customer service, I went in to open a 2nd checking account and the process was smooth on the app and onsite at the brank. Jose Oliva was such great help and I appreciate how kind, professional and patient he was at explaining credit cards available to me. I have been banking with Shell for a few years now. Originally referred to by a friend as I was looking to refinance my car loan. My refinancing process alike was smooth and very informative. Everyone is always nice.

Shell Federal Credit Union in Houston is a joke and have locked our son out of his bank account and credit card while he’s traveling and they cannot give him any information over the phone. He literally cannot access any of his money or charge his car. Luckily he is in Houston and not on the road today driving or he would be in BIG trouble.He has to visit a branch tomorrow to get help, because the ROBOTS on the phone can’t help him and won’t give him any information. I’m absolutely appalled! They should have a way to help him by phone if their branches are closed. They got a piece of my mind, because that’s ridiculous and I’m not their customer.They have stranded my kid without access to his money on the weekend and without calling him!!!??????????????????????????Stay FAR Away!!He’s closing his accounts there tomorrow!

Direct deposit issues!!! I wish I could give no stars because they deserve none. Shell Federal will absolutely hold your direct deposit and make you wait until the date on your check to release the funds. This is absurd. What is the point in direct deposit? I’ve never read the reviews until now and I will be ending my relationship with this organization.

Garbage bank tellers. Not knowledgeable on company policy and terrible customer service representatives that seem to offer an attitude when questioned about your money and will hang up in your face if you respond in kind. Find another branch or different brand because they are terrible

I literally have nothing but incredible positive things to say about this business and the staff. Their brief consultations alone gave me the advice I needed to increase my score over 200 points since they first save me from a crisis when I hydroplaned and lost a vehicle. Since then and then on I will confidently say that this is one of those rare companies that actually has your best interest at heart. When you first walk in Miss Bicky will be there with a pretty smile with you not even having to open the doors yourself, and a mad shout out to the tellers Michelle M and Yalissa C who helped me during a lost ID while stuck in a rental car situation, they were very accommodating to the situation. Also final shout out to Jose Oliva who was very thorough in explaining the terms of a loan to where a dumbo like me can understand. I will always use this credit union and demand more locations pop up in Houston and Katy.

I have been with this bank over 10+ years as a black African-American woman they don’t give us second chances when we fall on hard times. I can say that because I have several African-American friends who have not been given a chance with his bank. And I have a Hispanic friend who have been given endless open opportunities. I have had the people in their collections department speak to me as if I’m trash, very heartless: calculated they will even lock you out of your account where you can’t do anything to your own account like change your password, if you’re behind .I’m ashamed I’ve stayed this long when the majority of my peers have left their establishment because with the best credit they felt racially stereotyped for growth. Disappointing.

This is the most useless bank ever. I will keep spreading this review in all social media so that people will stay away from this bank.My company sent my direct deposit to my account on Wednesday 12am because Thursday is thanksgiving. This bank refused to credit my account on that Wednesday.I called them on thanksgiving and the representative told me that the money will not be available in my account until Monday.Other banks credited their customers account on Wednesday but this Shell credit union decided to seat on someone’s direct deposit and refused to release it. I am closing my account with them this Monday. What a horrible bank that can hold on people’s money until after a holiday.

Have banked with Shell Federal credit union since I was 17. Great bank and great service. Have always had great experiences with them, as opposed to banks like capital one and chase where they have constant fee’s and problems.

No wonder this branch only have 3 stars and don’t deserve any stars at all. My story is i applied online for checking account . I chat with a lady named Patricia to check the status on my new checking account application . She said i was approved for checking and saving account. I asked her again to double check and said i was approved and i can go to nearest branch to finalize and get my debit card . At 3:50 afternoon rush hour i drove there . A last name Vanessa helped me and she finalized my application and denied me to open a checking account . I told her That i was told i was approved that’s why i came down. She told me she has the power to approve or denied ( she is not even a manager or the CEO, and have so much power . Anyways , took me and hour to get home with rush hour traffic ( 4:40 pm ), Katy branch only 12 minutes without traffic . I was approved online but got denied in person by Vanessa , probably she was having a bad day or didn’t like the way i look or because my name is not John Smith . They need to revamp Katy branch.

Worse bank ever creditors yell at you for looking for advice u have the employees telling u not to pay till 10 days later and even when I tried they denied my payment now im awhile month late and here they are again saying not to pay tha thy going o lower my payment now im having my cards block because they have a huge slack of communication I hate I souldof never refinanced with them ever again if u can avoid this bank they are the worse. Ebay is the worse give fake hope for people that she's going to help when she is no where close to help I need retraining to tell the truth or just get fired

Customer service here is awful. This place is always closed on random days and they will lock your card for anything. The entire system of this credit union needs to be corrected. Everything is a hassle to get done here. Too many limitations and they do not prioritize customers needs. It sucks when you can't actually have freedom to make purchases with your own money.

The worst bank I have ever been with. Do not get a auto loan with them. They charged me 2,000$ without notice even though I have full coverage. They are money hungry thief's. Please go elsewhere. They will not take it off even though I was insured. Terrible people, and terrible service. I rather let Mr.Krabs handle my money then this trash bank.
