Bought a Stihl chainsaw after a bad storm with two trees on my house. Had problems with it. Ray ( Stihl Rep) found the problem. Ray sent my saw to Stihl. I got a new saw.

Just came in here right now on 2/3/2024 at 11:40am. The girls behind the counter were extremely snobby and rude to me. They were acting nice and normal to my male friend but extremely rude and stuck up to me. As a woman I do not appreciate that. I will not be returning

This Ace Hardware store on 5598 Pin Oak Rd in Katy, TX is the model example for what the ideal hardware store should be. 1.) The store has most everything you need and it's easy to find stuff. Plumbing, electrical, hand tools, power tools, key copying, knife sharpening, and assorted weird stuff you might need for whatever task. 2.) Knowledgeable staff that is helpful and actually knows what the heck they're doing. 3.) No hoard of people in the parking lot looking for work. 4.) You can keep one eye on your truck and don't have to worry about your stuff getting stolen. The prices are higher than the big box stores, but it's worth it.

Even if you call them and ask before you drive 40 miles they tell you have the product but once you get there its not available at all even you asked them twice to make sure and they will yes we have it.

Always helpful, knowledgeable, and my daughter loves petting their Mascot . The Cat is always just lying around and let's the kiddo's pet them. The staff is very helpful. I find myself going here vs the big box when I need to be quick. Don't mind overpaying since it's local and their staff actually knows how to help. 5 stars

Visited yesterday to purchase a yard product. Per the other reviews, no one welcomes you or provides assistance. I found the product I needed and as I walked to the checkout all four females had their heads down on their phones So much for customer service or work ethics.

Very disappointed in the service at the Katy Pin Oak location. Ive been in on two separate times to have a key cut. Was told someone special had to cut the keys. This person never showed up. I waited to have no one ever show up to the key counter. I asked one of 5-6 free employees to assist me. I was told the owner is the only one to cut keys. The owner needs to train other employees to cut keys. I left and never got my key cut… will not be returning.

Had 3 knives sharpened, did a great job. As an ex meat market manager, I know who can and who cannot put a perfect beveled edge on a new knife. Very happy with the finished product.

been here a couple times, it’s a hit or miss when you really need help even the slightest .usually i do most of the approaching anyway. most of them at the front always talking to each other not even busy half the time i’m there. i’ll be straight up, they only help you if your either super friendly or got the same privileges as they do. i know it’s a family owned business and everyone’s comfortable but hey at least recognize some of the diversity. sometimes the ladies in the front get rude for no reason but i just turn the other cheek, just asking for simple questions products. not everyone can. always adjust to your environment.

I am new to Katy. My daughter and I popped in here since we'd never been inside. No pleasant greetings, no offer to help. Weird vibe, a few stares. My daughter said mom can we leave? I said absolutely. Never going back.

You will be charged extra if you use a credit card. I only go there when I need something now. Otherwise I go to Lowes or the Ace on Mason. Employees loudly let you know their political ideology and the store displays signs to back it up. Not very inviting.
