I want to really emphasize the importance of having the right people to help you in the process of buying a home. It’s truly a journey and a very complicated process, which I was VERY fortunate to have found Jennifer Looper and her team!
I had a very horrible experience the first time around with another company years ago, so my expectations were very high and I wasn’t going to accept just mediocre work from anyone again.
But Jennifer L. and her team, they definitely helped me EVERY step of the way and surpassed my expectations! From understanding all the new information to answering every question I had, even the minimalist ones. She never hesitated to repeat or answer the calls and they were a lot! Even going over the documents over and over until I felt satisfied and understood everything. It’s a lot but her team made it feel very personal, and that’s what we needed. She was very honest with me from the beginning and something I appreciated was that she told me she wouldn’t promise me something she couldn’t do for us and would tell us how it was. I knew it was a business transaction but she also was looking out for us too and that I am very thankful for! Closing was a breeze with her and the turn around time was truly stunning.

Jennifer Looper is AWESOME. She’s fun to work with and works so hard to get your loans approved. Reagan handled my loan and HE FAILED TO CLOSE MY LOAN ON TIME AND NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT! I found out about it the evening before my closing date because the title company told my realtor we weren’t clear to close. I asked him about it later that evening and he basically said the underwriter had an issue with the appraisal and he didn’t know when I could close and he wouldn’t ask the underwriter for a new deadline or give me a new closing date. He said he had just found out about the issue, but I later got them to admit they knew about the issue and withheld it from me. THEN I CALLED HIM THE MORNING OF CLOSING THREE TIMES IN A ROW AND HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Everything had to go through his assistant after that. He didn’t call me back until after closing to give me some excuses about there being issues with the appraisal, which completely missed the point. There were many more issues that I just won’t even bother writing about. I almost never leave a review for anything, but this was so bad that I feel it’s the right thing to do to warn people. They put me in a terrible situation that could have cost me the home, plus of all my time and thousands in earnest money. Thank God the sellers didn’t have another offer on the house and worked with me to move the closing date.

I can hardly begin to express how highly I recommend HomeWay and Jeff Chico and Brenda Mahon! They listened to our situation and found a way to assist us, and then Jeff "held our hand" through every step of the way! When we refinance again or buy a new property, they will be our "go to" for all finance needs. They went above and beyond and made a stressful situation easy.
