First time had a bad experience with the store manager and associate returning an item, manager had a horrible attitude and associate was condescending. Allbeit I was returning an item without a receipt and understand why it was difficult however the tonality of both the manager and associate was uncalled for, in my honest opinion I was cordial with both and was understanding about the whole return policy, won’t be returning here again after this experience.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at this HomeGoods. Manager was extremely rude as well as her sales associates. If I ask the sales associate to repeat themselves because I couldn't understand they don't need to roll their eyes and have an attitude with a response. In the wrong job field if you're going to get upset at a customer for asking you to repeat yourself because we could not hear you.

This review is for this Home Goods in particular, not Home Goods as a whole. I love this company but had a very lackluster experience here today. I’ve had my eye on a mirror here for a couple of weeks now, I went today to purchase it but it was damaged in several spots and had some frame damage. I still brought it up to the register because I was willing to sand it and re-stain the wooden frame. The manager told me the most they could do is 10%. I genuinely was torn because I didn’t think that was enough for the amount of work i’d have to put in to fix the damage, but I really liked the mirror. I asked if there was a way to see if another store had it, but there wasn’t. I explained to her that it would cost me more than the $10 discount to fix it and asked if she would purchase it in my position. Her response was “I wouldn’t be interested in buying a wooden circular mirror, so..” That was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I genuinely was asking her opinion and to me that was such an ugly response. Especially for the manager of a store. I’m not upset about them only willing to take 10% ($13) off, i’m more upset at the treatment I received from the store’s leadership. Kindness and the way you speak to people goes a long way.

Manager has major lack of customer service skills, did not apologize for having items marked at lower prices (not switched tags, I’ve seen that before as I’ve worked in retail, these were put there by store), falsely claimed I was yelling, likely to distract from the careless error on their end.
I’ve made a complaint with the Texas comptroller about their false advertising/bait-switch practices as well as to their corporate division, but what’s a lot more upsetting was the manager (Monica’s) complete lack of professionalism and customer care when faced with an issue.
An apology and explanation would’ve gone far, rather than accusing the customer (who was rightfully miffed about being baited with a lower price via their tags) of yelling, when in reality it was a raised voice at the most.
Almost seemed like a tried-and-true tactic to go straight there…Make the customer seem like a Karen instead of take accountability and apologize…
Rising to the expectation now. BBB next.
