Your front desk lady is going to cost y’all a lot of money. I’ll just put it that way.

Dr Ferrill has new front office staff that is AMAZING! I know previous reviews mentioned the front office/ secretary customer service as an issue; however, they now have the must bubbly, warm, and welcoming environment. I've been coming here for YEARS and Dr Ferrill was always worth it, but having the facility change is now the cherry on top!

Came here after my doctor retired, and my first visit was okay. My second attempt they were to busy to see me so I went to urgent care. Now for my third attempt, I have sore throat from either sinuses from bbqing all day or maybe strep and they won't even see you in person because apparently a doctors office is scared of sore throats now. Kinda hard to diagnose which of those over a video call, but okay. Was supposed to have video call at 10:30, was told when I called about not receiving text yet at 10:45 it would be very soon, tried calling again twice at 11:20 and was ignored both times. Ended up having to just go inside and ask for refund because I literally watched over 10 people come and go from the parking lot since 10:30. Good luck if you choose this doctor.

I have been seeing Dr.Shelley for over 3 years. She is a great family doctor for annual checkups.Pros: not much wait time, takes you in right away.Cons:They are not very thorough or detailed in their results or follow up. I had an annual checkup in October 2022 and the doctor found some abnormality in my EKG. I got flu shot the same day while I still had the electrodes still on me from ekg. I had to call them to figure that part out because the nurse had asked me if she could go ahead with the flu shot while I had it on and i am not from medical background and so I said yes since she provided that option. And they referred me to Cardiologist right away without even wanting me to wait for bloodwork results. I went to the cardiologist the same day and had them do an echo, and sent me home with a monitor for 24 hours.Everything came back normal both from blood work and from cardiologist. I had an inkling it could be that the did flu shot while ekG was being done( 15 sec). Doctors office assured that ekg was done and just the electrodes was on. And I had to call these two places to enquire about the results and their response was a casual and non chalant “oh everything is fine sweetheart”. Really!?? After making me go through this much of stress and anxiety, you don’t care to let the patient know about the numbers if they’re good?I’m yet to go for my third and final round of test at the cardiology which is stress test.Week after the visit I started getting rashes all over my body. I went back to her today( tried calling the office several times the first week to schedule for an apt but I got no response or call back) for checkup, she wrote down all the symptoms. I expected her to do some round of allergy test or something. She straight up suggested a round of steroid shot along with a prescription of cortisone ointment( the standard remedy for any skin issue) and referred me to Dermatologist. She didn’t care to explain why my suspicions were ruled out. She seemed to be in a rush and didn’t care to explain what could be possible causes for this even after suffering with this for 3 weeks and several marks on my face.I asked the doctor’s office for a note to let me work from home due to my condition which she denied despite explaining my emotional state of mind facing my colleagues in this state. They said my medical condition is not contagious or needing isolation.Where is a patient’s state of mind considered here? What is a doctor for if she cannot tend to your emotional and physical well being?I’m just so frustrated and not sure if the shot is going to heal all my rashes and prevent new spots from occurring. I feel like they haven’t done their job. I feel like the whole medical system is rigged like any other institution and I am losing my trust in medical facility.Anyone with similar experience here? Please share so I know I’m not the only one who feels duped.

New patient. Wow. Kate upfront was so helpful and pleasant. (The rude people upfront from past reviews are no longer there I found out.) Doctor Ferrill had world-class knowledge and impeccable bedside manner. She is a straight shooter and told me what I needed to hear. I will be back on two weeks for follow up and honestly am so happy to be good hands.

I have been coming to Family Medical Center of Cinco Ranch since 2008!! I have had pleasant interactions and the bedside manner of Dr. Ferrill and Kim, NP have been phenomenal. They ensure that I am educated and informed on any medical issues over the years. The front desk staff is also pleasant and helpful especially with changes in my schedule. Just recently Kate at front desk helped me get scheduled for an important appointment that I needed changed last minute. Great job and thank you all for taking care of me for almost 15 years!

I had injured my knee and am a very active person, so needless to say I felt immediately saddened by my inactivity. I called the office and was given an appointment right away.Dr. Shelley Ferrill quickly sought to find out if there was greater damage to my knee and the muscles surrounding it. Once the determination was made that I had an inflamed sacks (Bursitis), she and her staffer, Kate assisted me in seeing an orthopedist within a day.She showed concern for my lifestyle and that I had upcoming competitions that I would not be able to participate in if I couldn't have the pain subside.Kudos to Dr. Ferrill and Kate. THANK you so much

I’ve always been met with a smile and treated with respect by Dr Ferrill and Ms Kim, no matter how big or small the issue. I’m so thankful to have found this office over 10 years ago!

Thank you to Dr. Shelley Ferrill in Katy, tx. Cinco Ranch, for keeping me out of the hospital this month. If she had not seen me when she did and not given me the aggressive treatments she did ,I was headed south and the hospital would have been next. She was awesome and very knowledgeable about her plan of attack. Thank you Dr. Ferrill!! -Betty Maestas

Dr. Ferrill & Kim Hamilton are really great, I do like the care they give. Their front desk staff on the other hand, is horrible. I, along with my father and 2 of my friends, one of which referred me originally, has left the practice because of how rude the staff is. I called today, 7/9 to make a "checkup" appointment for my daughter and I explained, "before she heads off to college". The person who answers the phone said in such a rude and condescending response, "what do you mean a checkup"? When I let her know what I was referring to and went on to tell her that I felt she was being rude and condescending, she literally dismissed me by saying she "had never heard that from anyone before" and then went on to say there weren't any appointments until August. At that point, I just hung up. Being dismissed is one of the worst things you can do to a customer and I just wasn't having it anymore. I find it so odd that the person taking the calls at the front has never heard of this before, when literally there are reviews after reviews of people saying exactly what I am saying.

If you have something more serious then a runny nose don't go to this office. They don't take your health seriously.
