I would like to begin by acknowledging that the staff at the apartment complex has been consistently courteous and supportive. Unfortunately, my experience with the apartment itself has been quite disappointing.
During a video call with the leasing office—arranged because I was out of state—I was assured that while there would be street noise outside, it would not be an issue once inside the apartment. This reassurance proved inaccurate. The apartment is situated directly next to a very busy street, resulting in significant noise disturbances. Additionally, my bedroom window faces the street and is adjacent to two noisy air units.
When I reported these issues, the staff suggested soundproofing the apartment, which is not a viable solution for me. Although I was offered the option to move to a quieter apartment, the available unit would not be ready for another two months, and managing the move myself was impractical.
Furthermore, I have encountered other significant issues. The water in the bathtub consistently comes out brown. Despite multiple maintenance visits and being advised to let the water run, this problem persists. The apartment itself is also notably unclean and appears quite worn. I have invested in air purifiers and diffusers, but have been unable to improve the unpleasant odor.
Given these ongoing issues, I find myself dissatisfied with the living conditions and feel compelled to share this review. I am currently paying $1,500 per month for a one bedroom apartment that falls short of my expectations in terms of cleanliness, noise levels, and overall quality.

Re: The Crossing at Katy Ranch
Stopped by for a look and see.. FIRST I FELT JUDGED AS SOON AS I WALKED IN.
ROBERT G and another young lady were having a conversation as we walked in looking lost on where to go for assistance NOT ONE TIME ASKED IF WE NEEDED HELP! So after that I being the bubbly person I am said sorry to intrude but do we stand here ? Or somewhere else for assistance. Only then were we recognized. A young lady slim built with black hair never gave eye contact and basically appeared to be annoyed that we interrupted their convo. ( Honestly who looks at a computer ?️ the entire time you talking to potential residents).
We felt extremely disrespected and uncomfortable! She basically vomited out info and walked in silence the whole way to view a one bedroom apt and back; which by the way looked like an overpriced box. I was so disgusted with the treatment I felt discriminated against for my color. I approached the manager to tell him the experience was unsettling and he gave me a look of “ so” and unconcerned what so ever.
If you are of African American I WARN YOU ON ALL LEVELS ..
They don’t want us here and look at us poorly!!

After submitting two reviews about this apartment complex, I logged into my account to pay my rent for the month of August and discovered a move-out credit for nearly a full month’s rent. Given my prior communication requesting the cancellation of my move to a new unit due to personal inconvenience, I assumed this credit was an effort to rectify the situation.
Initially, I had been informed that someone else was scheduled to move into my apartment, but this tenant was reassigned to the unit I was supposed to move into. As I had already requested to remain in my current apartment, I disregarded the move-out credit.
On August 3rd, I paid the remaining balance of my rent. On August 7th, I visited the office to address noise issues with my neighbor’s dogs that they never addressed. (Side Note: I eventually had to discuss the matter directly with my neighbor and the issue was resolved amicably.)
However, when I returned to the office, the staff seemed unaware of my decision to stay. They offered me a $300 credit to move, which I initially accepted, thinking it was additional to the move-out credit. I later realized that I could not handle the move by myself and communicated this. During a follow-up visit, I was assured that the office would arrange and cover the cost of movers out of their own pockets. So I agreed to view the new unit I would be moving into and it was so dirty and filthy, I told them I would not be moving. They assured me that they hire professional cleaners and I would be able to move in August 13th.
On the scheduled move-in day, I received no updates or communication from the office staff. On August 14th when I checked my account, I found that the move-out credit had been deducted, and late fees were charged. This was unexpected and not communicated to me. Subsequent checks revealed further discrepancies, with changes made to my account after the due date without any explanation or communication from the office.
As of August 20th, my rent portal shows additional changes, and a deposit balance of $400 with no communication from the management. All previous changes appear to have vanished, and the issues I initially raised remain unresolved.
I am compelled to leave this review in hopes of receiving a response. I need clarity on how the misinformation led to these complications and what steps will be taken to resolve the situation.

I trusted the word of a staff member and agreed to the move. The staff member assured me that the external noise would not be problematic once inside the unit. The exact words were ”When you are outside you can hear all the traffic driving by, but when you are inside you don’t hear it”. Based on this information, I decided to proceed with the relocation.
Unfortunately, the noise has proven to be a significant issue, exacerbating my anxiety, which I had explicitly communicated. I would have preferred to wait for a unit situated away from the noisy street if I had been given accurate information from the beginning.
I understand that you offered to move me to a quieter unit, but it wasn’t available until two months after I already moved in. Given that I am managing this move alone, the prospect of packing and relocating by myself—or the cost of hiring movers—presents a considerable burden.
If you truly want to rectify the situation as you say, I respectfully request that you either assist with my move to another unit or cover the expenses for a moving company. The initial misinformation has caused significant inconvenience and distress, and I believe it is reasonable to seek compensation for these issues.
Regarding the brown water, I will post another review with video footage of the water coming out brown since you don’t seem to see a problem or think that it’s just the lighting causing the water to appear a different color.
I hope for a prompt and constructive resolution to this matter rather than just a public response. Your attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Staff is polite. Policies and execution of work orders regarding repairs are tragic. Lack of response, inadequate measures taken to alleviate problems, and questionable workmanship when issues are addressed.

Highly appreciate Michelle’s exceptional service at the front desk. Her professionalism, friendliness, and dedication make every interaction positive. She consistently goes above and beyond, ensuring a hassle-free living experience for residents. I especially value her assistance to my parents, who find it challenging to communicate in English. Highly recommended for her outstanding contributions.

This is the BEST apartment complex we have ever lived in.
We moved from California and this leasing office made our move so easy. Robert stayed in communication, and provided updates and photos of our new home while we were still in California.
They were so patient and kind with us.
Now that we have been here for awhile now, it has continued to be a great renting experience. Michelle the leasing agent has been a God sent. As we navigate through our new environment, she has been easy to speak to, quick with providing the service that we need, and is very understanding. Michelle is patient as she explains varies things to us. There is no place better we could have picked then here! AMAZING place and amazing agents!

Nice apartment but costly and front desk staff is not always the most polite. Also, the security isn't the greatest because people will just hop the fence to get inside and walk around.
It was $1,300/month for a 1 bedroom, 1 garage when we first lived here in 2018.
Then in 2019 it was $1,800 for a 2 bedroom, 1 garage
When we were looking to move out in the end of 2019, CKR were looking to increase it to $2,100/month. Keep in mind that's close to what you'd pay on a mortgage for a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house!
The pool was also out of service for like 6-7 months when we lived here because there was an electrical leak in it.
Don't expect to get your deposit back because even if you paid someone else to clean your apartment they will still hire another person and charge you for it!
If you do decide to live here then make sure you do a thorough walkthrough and take pictures of everything. Also, let them know when you move in what needs to be fixed! There was a paint overspray on many places as well as holes in our closet walls.
Walls are also kind of thin so you can hear any of your neighbors noises when its above conversational level noises.
Parking isn't the greatest and you'll often have to park far away from your apartment.
Maintenance people are nice though!

This condo STINKS!! I wish I could not give them any stars. The leasing and maintenance staff are rude. I have millions of GIANT cockroaches all the time inside my apartment. Everything is damaged very easily and when it comes to coming to fix it they take a long time or they simply don't come and put in the system that they did fix everything when it is a lie. The landlady throws water all the time and they never fix it. They took the washing machine from my apartment without permission and brought a new one that was useless, super filthy, bad smell and my mold inside and it took them more than a month to bring me a new one! They are apartments with a strong musty smell. The pool area is disgusting. Every time we wanted to enjoy the pool the water was green with garbage inside and the grill was useless. Everywhere smells like Marijuana. I have two small children and bedtime is difficult because I have some scandalous neighbors and the leasing people never do anything! The maintenance on the outside is not the best, not to mention the garbage service. It has been a negative experience for us and we feel that they make fun of one's needs as a resident. But when it comes to collecting rent they are wonderful and they come to your door with rudeness when they don't improve their faults!! I would not live here again and I do not recommend it to anyone. I can't wait until the lease is up so I can leave!!! If you can avoid moving here, don't hesitate!!

Do not move here! They have horrible customer service. Garage always has problems. I called about this unknown fee they added to my account, nobody answered or let me know what the extra fee was for. There was a domestic violence incident against a young lady next door, instead of trying to help her, management decided to kick her out the same day she was abused. Just horrible people and only care about money
