I recently moved to Texas from California and had a frustrating experience with Christian Brothers Automotive. I went in because my air conditioner stopped working and was quoted $790 by Andrew to replace the blower motor and resistor. This seemed incredibly high, so I asked for a breakdown. They claimed I was paying for parts, labor, and an $80 fee for checking the AC, despite advertising a ‘free’ diagnosis.
They also gave me a list of things supposedly wrong with my car, including needing an oil change and brake fluid, which I knew wasn’t true because I had those services done just a week earlier at Jiffy Lube. When I asked about buying the part myself, they refused, claiming they only use ‘high-quality’ parts but offered to reduce the price to $573 with a one-year warranty instead of three.
I was told my car would be ready that day, but then got a text saying the part wouldn’t arrive until the next day. After getting quotes from other shops at half the price, I called to cancel. Miraculously, my car was suddenly ‘ready.’ When I spoke to the supervisor, Jerry, he admitted they upsell to stay in business. Andrew even whispered that the part came from O’Reilly’s, which I found out was heavily marked up. This place should be called ‘Devil Brothers’ for how they take advantage of people. I will never return and urge others to avoid them.

I have been to this location several times and they have fair pricing. They always have great customer service and will even give you a ride home or back to work if its close. Good location overall for all mechanical services from oil changes to transmission work.

I had a bad experience here at Christian brothers We have been bringing our vehicles here for years but this time it was horrible.I brought my car in for a inspection I was told everything looked good and it passed and they accidentally input something on my inspection paper ,but that I should not have a problem not true.I tried to purchase my sticker online and couldn’t ,I drove a hour to try and get my sticker in the court house and they said you’ll have to take the vehicle back it did not pass.I immediately tried calling and asking what happened ? you guys said everything was fine ,they said well you’ll have to bring it back and will have to redo it again ,a inconvenience I stopped what I had to do to bring the truck back in again when it should’ve been fixed the first time .I tried calling back asked to speak to the manager so that I can get more info I was put on hold for 10 min the manager never came to the phone .I got the info from whoever answered the phone .So here it is 6-21-24 came in was told I had to wait a hour wth.Ive even asked for them to have the owner call me and still nothing .

In response to Christian Brothers: it was this location on North Fry Road. I am not mistaken.
DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLES HERE. Customer service and corporate offices are not helpful. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Christian Brothers. I had my vehicle repaired on two consecutive days, specifically to address two check engine warnings. The repairs included replacing the knock sensor and the computer.
Unfortunately, just two weeks after these repairs, my check engine light came back on, showing the same error code as the knock sensor. Upon further inspection, it was determined that the issue is now related to the engine mount and timing chain.
I believe this should have been identified during the initial inspections and repairs. A thorough inspection at the beginning could have prevented the unnecessary replacement of the knock sensor and the computer, saving both time and cost.
Upon further research and consultation with automotive experts, it has come to my attention that a faulty engine mount can cause excessive vibrations and misalignment in the engine compartment. These issues can directly impact the performance and longevity of other components, including the knock sensor and the vehicle's computer.
Had the engine mount issue been identified and addressed during the initial inspection, it is likely that the subsequent problems with the knock sensor and computer could have been avoided. A thorough inspection should have included checking for engine mount integrity, which is a fundamental aspect of diagnosing engine compartment issues.
The initial repairs were not only insufficient but also misdiagnosed, leading to additional, avoidable expenses.
I spent well over $4K with the same issues and they want to charge me more to fix the motor mount and now a timing chain.

BAD SERVICE! My car is worst than what I took it in for. Warning! use them at your own risk. I was taken advantage of they saw an opportunity to get paid my warranty company and all the service was about. Took my car mainly because was working but blowing like a cool fan. They did a diagnostic test and came up with other issues that wasn't having a problem with. Lesson learned if it's not broken don't fix it at least not with this company. The ac still doesn't blow cold unless ÿou put it between 60 to 63 or on Lo on the temperature. They convinced the warranty company that the issue was the compressor once they fixed that then they said it was the fan and the relay can't be take out of the fuse box it is built into it and the whole entire fuse box has to be replaced. They said the was and issue with the steering , had an issue with the mount to one of the struts. Got my car back from them. Omg! The car front end vibrates and the car wobbles, pulls to the right, the alarm to my seat belt notifications don't come on. My back camera alerts don't come on to show a car is near. The automatic rain detection dont come on anymore. They have ruined my luxury car and the features it had. Took it back to them they are upholding their decision they don't see anything wrong can't duplicate the problem. Stating more than one mechanic has test driven the car. So they are saying that my passengers that witnessed the issues and I have lied? Worst experience ever! Nice people but I feel like THE SERVICE DONE WAS TO GET PAID BY THE WARRANTY INSURANCE, COMPANY!!

The guys were nice but I felt over charged and used. (My left head light) I told them the problem and what it could be, instead of running a diagnostic they just put in a part that I said it could be and that didn’t work. The cost was from $500, then quoted $700, then told me it was electrical and said it would be over $2000. I told them just put it back how it was left and they told me they gave me a “discount” & I paid $480 for nothing fixed and my light on my dash stopped working. So it was worse. Went to a shop and the fixed the problem and it was less then what Christian Bros charged for nothing getting fixed. You should definitely change your name. I’m very disgusting experience. I guess if you go in for an oil change it’s ok but I can do that at home. Don’t go in for major or even minor repairs. But Jonathan who drove me me great.

A certain dealership wasn't going to be able to look at my Ford Edge until nearly a week after I needed work done. Christian Brothers took it the next morning and got to work on it that day. They turned a nearly 2 week turn around and turned it into 2 days, and all for a lot less than that certain dealership would have charged. The friendly and informative service was just a cherry on top.

I had my oil changed and two days later it was leaking now I have oil spots on my driveway. I took it back they changed the oil filter and told me if it still leaks take it to the dealership has to be a bad oil pan. When I got there they did a full check of everything and there was no leaks . If you have a problem they take pictures and tell you before they steer. So after they change my oil why would I need my oil pan fixed. I always thought they were reliable service people so own up if you make a mistake instead you have a different problem, when it wasn’t leaking when I got there instead of arguing with me not very professional.

Horrible service I made an appointment in the morning for an oil change at 1Pm then I came to the shop and it’s been almost 2 hours of waiting in the lobby. I don’t recommend this place unless anybody wants to wait 2-3 hours for an oil change with appointment. I understand there is more work and lots of cars to take care of but, I believe and the whole reason for an appointment is for them to manage their time.

After Westside Kia totally sent me in circles. I was referred to Louis at Christine Brother's from Calibra Collision. Kia sent me to Calibra for a problem I didn't have. Louis, No muscles flexing or making me feel stupid. Louis took care of a problem Kia caused. Turns out westside kia messed up my car. Westside Kia fired, Christine Brother's hired. Thank you Louis.
Sincerely
Frances
