DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH BANFIELD!!!! HIGHLY DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICE!!! I had their 60 bucks a month plan for my cat and I called today to cancel service with them because my cat hates them and they hate her. Every time I take her in her a comprehensive exam she leaves covered in feces. So I decided to cancel. When I called the customer service they charged me an extra 300 bucks stating her last visit was valued at 854 bucks and I have only paid a portion of that for the year. THEY DONT MENTION THAT UP FRONT WHEN YOU SIGN UP. VERY DECEPTIVE. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH BANFIELD PERIOD!!!!!

MY DOG IS DEAD!!! While today would have marked her 4th birthday, we are instead sad, and heartbroken because an extension of our family is no longer with us! She would still be with us if this "hospital" did not exercise NEGLIGENCE. We hear all the time about patients (humans) being ignored and not believed- further exacerbating their conditions. But guess what? It can happen with your pets as well. My dog exhibited signs of loss of appetite, excessive drinking, and frequent urination. Initially I questioned if she had diabetes, as this is a classic sign. But thinking of how young she was, I thought maybe it was a UTI. So I decided to call this "hospital" to request a urinalysis- that way, this one test can detect either one (diabetes or UTI). I made the appointment on a Wednesday. After making that appt, they called me back 2 times. 1st to ask me to recite the symptoms again. Then the next time to tell me that the "DOCTOR" stated that my dog's symptoms were "classic" signs of leptosporosis. I asked them, well doesn't my dog have her vaccines for this? And they say, YES! So I stated I'm not interested in this test- I have never heard of it, and when I asked how she could have gotten such a thing, they stated because of Hurricane Beryl and dogs drinking still water. I explained that we did not have any flooding in my area, and I maintained that I wanted the UA ( urinalysis). Fine, they agreed. But they stated that I would have to get the UA outside in the parking lot because this lepto could be contagious. I said, fine! Upon arrival the next morning, I called the receptionist to let them know that I was outside. This is when everything went downhill. I was strong armed. The "nurses" came outside in full garb telling me that I have to get the lepto test. They kept pushing this narrative that her S/S (signs and symptoms) were the same as lepto. Huh? I was immediately upset. I verbalized that this was not right. The "nurse" said, "I understand", and I immediately told her, no you don't. For the record, I came in for a UA. I didn't even know what Lepto was!!! So fine, I had the lepto test done. Then the "doctor" came out to tell me that there was a false positive, but they are going to go ahead and treat her. This is INCOMPETENCE and that doctor knows full well that this treatment plan was lackluster at best. She knows. They gave me a 14 day antibiotic. Day 10, this doctor called me to tell me that basically they are questioning the integrity of the lepto test, and as a courtesy the manufacturer of the test will pay for my dog to have a titter to see if she actually had lepto. Days are going by. 7 days after the antibiotic, my dog was vomiting all morning. I called. They told me to come in. This is 21 days. Only for them to give me the UA that I asked for 21 days prior. The lab showed a glucose of 500 AND WAS IN KETOACIDOSIS. This is NEGLIGENCE and INCOMPETENCE. This whole time, my dog was being treated for something she did not have, from a test I did not ask for. This was a Thursday. By Saturday, my dog was in the worst shape, vomiting green bile, over and over again. This other doctor and the practice manager, I feel was trying to take onus for what that incompetent "doctor" did to my dog. And had us come in to try everything they could. My dog was too far gone. A surgeon at a hospital told me that there was very little they could do for my dog if they admitted her at this point- that would be guaranteed. So I had to make the toughest decision. My son was getting ready to lose his best friend. I had to do the most selfless thing, and put my dog down. All because 21 days were wasted on neglect. This is a prime example of when patients feel as if doctors don't hear them, or believe them. They further exacerbate their conditions, because they have bias. In this case, it was confirmation bias. This doctor already believe without seeing my dog that she had lepto. So she let her BIAS make the final decision. T

If I could put zero or no star I would
Don’t bring ur pet here. It’s not fair to them if u love them. The front desk ladies cruel uncaring horrible. When I brought my dog here cuz he was very sick with kidney failure , they made me wait so long. They kept exchanging looks. I tried to ask one of them a question she pretended not to hear me
Then when I went in to put my dog to sleep and I was crying and holding him in my arms, one girl came and told me I can put him for u on the table so u can go pay, they couldn’t wait. I heard them laughing and cracking jokes & laughter while I was crying and grieving for my pet so loud in the back
Just so cruel. Don’t bring ur pet here if you love them. This place have no compassion for animals especially those ladies in the front. This place shouldn’t be a scary place for our animals but it is because they treat them like objects cruel horrible. This ladies have no respect or dignity for other people or animals
They couldn’t do anything for my dog. A whole month I kept bringing him to save his life & did nothing just took money. All they care about money

They got us in within an hour when it came time to take our dog for the last visit. They were understanding, supportive, and brought us extra treats for him. They made a hard thing as easy as possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Have had a few poor experiences here with my previous pet who passed, and now with a new pet we visited and cannot believe how filthy the exam room was. When I say hair was everywhere…. It was a Monday morning and was apparent it had not been cleaned for weeks. My cat got ringworm after and this is the ONLY place he has ventured to. Never going back.

We have been going to Banfield for 9 plus years and just recently our fur baby Nicco became ill. We had him seen at the fry location with the Banfield WELLNESS PLAN that we renewed every year. Nicco was seen 3 weeks ago because we noticed how strange he was acting and walking around with his tail tucked in which was very unusual of him. We took him to the fry location for an exam and could not find anything wrong other than a fever of 105. Unfortunately Nicco’s health took a turn for the worst. We tried to get him back in to Banfield and we were told to find another place to take him to and nothing was available even after we explained what was going on. Banfield said he needs X-rays and ultrasound for his abdomen. However this location does not provide that type of service. So we called the location close to memorial and we were told they only do ultrasounds for pregnant animals, liver and kidneys. Why do we continue to pay for the WELLNESS PLAN when nothing could be done for our Nicco. We called everyday for a cancellation to get him back in because he kept getting worst. YET NO ONE REACHED OUT TO US. We found another vet that could get him in but it was too late. 3000 dollars later and Our baby had passed away after his 9th birthday. However the worst part is we still have to pay for the WELLNESS PLAN because we just renewed it even though our baby Nicco has passed away. They refuse to let us out of the contract and fail to realize we cannot not grieve properly because we have this money coming out of our account. No one wants to see a WELLNESS PLAN fee coming out of their account when their fur baby is no longer living. I guess they think a sorry from Debbie the manager is supposed to make us feel better. What is the point of the Wellness plan when it does absolutely nothing for your family member. Nicco was not just some pet to us. He was a family member and now he is gone.

Response to response from "owner": email sent. Generic email address. Color me surprised lol
Previously brought my dog Zoe in for a heartworm test and to establish as a new primary vet in the area. First visit went great. Zoe is a complicated case - totally understand that.
I called today, 7/6 to see if they had any work in appointments because Zoe just received radiation and I was concerned she was dehydrated (had to go under anesthesia and not eating/drinking as much). When I called, they asked what the appointment was for (so in my mind I’m like, oh great, they have an opening). I tell them what is going on. After I finished not 2 seconds later (the receptionist) goes “I just spoke to “someone” and we DEFINITELY don’t have time for that today. She can go to the EC”. Then she hung up. didn’t even press the issue because she was rude and I made up my mind my dog wouldn’t go back in that instant, but who did you speak to? Do you have telekinetic abilities?? Also, what even is an EC? Seriously? How could you have possibly asked someone in 2 seconds AND tell me to take my dog to what I am assuming means “emergency center”. Do better. Awful.

We receive very good service when we come here! The vets are knowledgeable and care about our pets. Our dogs are comfortable and feel loved as well. I would definitely recommend coming here. I also like they are open 7 days a week.
