Unfortunately, I don’t recommend this cottage. It needs lots of TLC, was probably really cute at one time years ago. The location was very good, only 2 blocks from downtown but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Do NOT recommend. We booked a cottage due to my boyfriend fishing a tournament, we were told there was plenty of parking for a vehicle and boat however when he arrived there was no place to park and cars all over the road. After expressing our issue with the owners we were told we would not be refunded for our stay. Very disappointed with the way the situation was handled. After contacting the owners regarding the problem she told use the room was “satisfactory” which we wouldn’t know because we couldn’t even park to make it in the rooms. All they care about is making money because when we called to book I specifically asked about parking as I knew we would need plenty of room and we were told it wouldn’t be a problem.

3 stars because the owners seem genuinely very nice. The cottage was charming, but dated. Close to downtown. The grounds were a mess and the lawn was overgrown and needed to be mowed. The downfall for us were the towels. They smelt terrible- like they were left in the washer too long. Made us question the cleanliness of the cottage as a whole.

Quiet cottages and a great place to stay in Jefferson. Amenities are a okay, but a little dated.

The owner was extremely polite when we arrived. She made sure that I had everything I needed and even showed me to the room in the pouring rain. The Rustic Retreat was extremely well decorated and felt very comfortable. The checkout instructions were provided upon arrival, and were very clear as well as convenient. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I hope I get a chance to come back next year.

My husband and I stayed in the Romantic Haven suite behind the main cottage. Charming place with plenty of room. The kitchen area had everything we needed, small fridge, coffee pot and cutlery. We were so glad to find wine glasses because we forgot to bring some! Wonderfully comfortable bed! Pretty sitting areas outside. Everything is well maintained and clean. It's located within easy walking distance of the main shops and restaurants. We were given coupons for the Bayou Bakery for breakfast and it was fantastic. A wonderful visit and we look forward to coming back!

After having stayed at other B&B's before Austin Street Cottages, I can safely say that I don't ever want to try another B&B in Jefferson. I think I can sum it up this way. The hotel was a place to sleep, Austin Street Cottages was a place to stay.
The accommodations were delightful, clean, spacious, comfortable and calm. The entire place reflects a concern for the guests that is above and beyond Thanks.
We have every intention of making reservations for another stay.

Have stayed here both times I have been to Jefferson. Stayed in both smaller cabins, never in main cottage. Highly Recommended! Great getaway for my wife and I.
