I have never had a worse experience in my entire life. The second we walked up to the counter. She did not like the way we looked. We was racially profiled and I'm disgusted. She got in a confrontation with my partner because she said we needed to pay for more insurance. She told us that we needed to pay more money, after I had already paid from priceline, my partner gave her the information she requested, and she still was very abrupt. When she told us she was refusing to rent us the vehicle that I was still being charged, for I had to go to Avis to rent another car I am filing complaints with every possible avenue because I don't want anyone to ever have to experience what I went through with thrifty Rent-A-Car at the Fort Worth airport. They were the most ignorant, rude, hateful, hateful people I have ever seen.

In my opinion the DFW Airport Rental Car Center is terrible. The shuttle to/from the terminals are always crowded and uncomfortable when we visit because they do not run often enough. The Rental Car Center is far from the airport so when you return the car you need at least an hour of extra time. There are slow lines at many of the counters. Even with our car rental company status that allows us to go directly to the car then the exit booths are understaffed so you can wait in line for a very long time. My recommendation is to find another mode of transportation from DFW.

Very well laid out. Easy transportation. Only issue I had was terrible cell service and GPS couldn't locate me there.

The DFW Car Rental Center is a central location for car rental companies at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, but it is unfortunately located quite far from the main terminals. This means that travelers who need to rent a car will have to take a long bus ride to get there, which can be inconvenient and time-consuming, especially if you have a lot of luggage. In addition to the long bus ride, the coordination of the shuttles at the DFW Car Rental Center seems to be poor. It's not uncommon for there to be delays or for the shuttles to be overcrowded, which can be frustrating for travelers who are trying to make their way to the rental center. Overall, the DFW Car Rental Center is located ridiculously far from the main terminals, which makes it inconvenient and time-consuming for travelers who need to rent a car. The poor coordination of the shuttles only adds to the frustration of the experience. If you have the option, it may be worth considering alternative rental locations that are closer to the main terminal.

Bus service from the rental facility to terminal E is abysmal. Every time I drop a car and wait for the bus, multiple busses pick up passengers for terminals A-D. Bus is always overcrowded in the morning.

If you like waiting forever in line while the one person working takes ages to process peoples rentals, then wait another hour or so for them to actually get your car ready, this is a great place to rent from. If you don't enjoy having your time wasted I'd recommend literally anyone else.

Its ok but confusing as heck trying to return a car. The info i found online didn't get me to the correct return entrance. Better signs on the road would have helped. In the future i would get better directions on returning the car. Picking up from the airport was another issue. Not from the area or used to the airport i seemed to walk much further than i needed to catch the transport to the rental car lot. But i would do it again because Texas kicks *##! Thank you lone star! Ill be back!!!!!!! I should have asked better questions on returning the car and or had a printed map with directions.

Have been to many airport car rental sites around the U.S, this one is about the worst. Very long shuttle ride from airport to rental car facility. Very poor customer service at Thrifty/Dollar location. Alot of upset customers with reservations waiting for 40-45 mins for cars, staff didn't seem to care and were rude. Very very bad instructions ( basically none) on where to rerurn cars. Rental car facility poorly marked with signage on where to return cars. All in all, very poor experience. I will not use Thrifty/ Dollar at that site again.

I feel it important to share my experience I had with Dollar rent a car at DFW airport. It was the fact that I rented and paid for a car to be ready at 3:00 and I was still sitting in the waiting room at 6:30. Yes 3hrs and 30min and you know what the manger Vadal Ayala said to me when I ask if my car would be ready at the hour time they had given me earlier. He responded by tell me it was a guesstimate. Remember I reserved and paid for the car a month earlier. Never was there an apology for the inconvenience and when asked if they would prorate the time I lost the answer was no. Lastly Vidal would not give me an address to write a complaint so here I am telling my story. Thanks for listening and please spread the word.

For this review I am not focusing on any particular rental service. Rather I am looking at the logistics of getting to and from this remote center from your terminal... I flew into Terminal E, so I really do not know if your experience would be different. It seems that there are three different stopping points at the terminal so if the place is crazy busy it might be best to walk to the middle one with the logic of there not being too many people looking to still get off or on. If you do get standing room only you might be in for Mr Toad's Wild Ride. There was someone next to me comparing the journey to the last time he rode a bull. Well, maybe that is an exaggeration, but the reality is this place is far enough away from the airport that if they went slow your entire trip might be over before you get into your rental car. Yes, that's an exaggeration too, but you get the idea. I get it, Dallas is huge. The joke is it is the one place in the US where you can watch your dog run away forever -- but why they chose to build it this way for the airport and car rentals I do not know. I guess for an older city Dallas can also be confusing to navigate. (Thank goodness for GPS!) The designers of the roads getting out of the center I guess wanted you to have a crash course in that fact too. With all of that said, what is left is pretty much like any other remote rental facility you may have experienced in your travels. Plan ahead with extra time, and you will be fine.

Worst design I have ever experienced. How is it possible that any professional in logistics and design thought this was a good idea?

Hertz at DFW is HORRIBLE! We prepaid and reserved a vehicle about 2 weeks before we landed. When we got there around 11:30PM no cars. They sold them all and didn't honor our reservation or anyone else that night. Went back the next morning and they don't take debit cards and will not accept anyone else's visa other than the person who made the reservation. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Advantage Rent A Car I rented a vehicle on Memorial Day and returned 6/2/22. Returned vehicle was reported by Advantage representative as having Marijuana smell. I spoke with an Advantage representative Shemar, who claimed to be the manager after being prompted to get the manager. Shemar alleged Marijuana was smoked inside the vehicle. Shemar raised his voice after my denial of the claim. I addressed his raised voice tone and requested he does not speak to me aggressively. I remained calm even when being rudely interrupted by Shemar. Shemar was not receptive to my calm demeanor and threatened to disconnect the call. Shemar did not want to listen and continued making false allegations while speaking aggressively. Again, when ask to speak to manager. Shemar said "one will be here at noon". Initially, Shemar did not provide name of manager. Shemar disconnected the call. Basically, he hung the phone up in my face. I called back immediately but no answer. The final attempt recalling, Shemar finally answered the phone. I reminded him that he abruptly disconnected the call. I requested to speak to his supervisor. Shemar expressed unknowing the supervisor at first. Instead of saying supervisor name, he referred to the supervisor as "she". When asked what is "she" name. Shemar denied knowing. With more relentless prompting, Shemar decided to spill the beans and reveal supervisor identity as "Dominique". I thank Shemar and disconnected call. Afterwards filed bank dispute for the $250 charge, and typed this review. Thank you

*AVIS* This was a disaster from the beginning to the end, just awful! I usually rent from AVIS whenever I travel. In this case, I needed the car for a day. I paid for my rental prior to the pickup and, brought the needed paperwork for those using debit and didn't want a credit check. Little did I know, that wasn't it. To start, I kid you not, I was in line for a total of, one hour and forty minutes. Remember, this is at the DFW Airport, this is by all means, unacceptable. The line grew to the point it reached the entrance doors (that's a VERY long line). At some point (an hour into the wait), people started going up to the counter to express their disgust, I don't blame them. To start, there were four agents. Two, in the midst of the line growing, decided to take a lunch at the same time. Eventually, one later left for lunch. I don't know of any professionally run company, where that is acceptable. In most cases, you pause your lunch to clear out AT LEAST, sixty percent of your line. All the while, the line had continued to grow to over forty people, if not more. Once the transaction was completed, it took another fifteen minutes to secure/clean the car and move to the next person. In total, each person was at the counter for almost twenty-plus minutes (one person was there for over 40 min). It seemed, most, were not aware of the credit check (if you weren't traveling), nor did they pay attention to the additional deposit needed, if not using a credit card. I'll address that below. Now, my turn at the desk. Again, after waiting in line for over an hour and forty minutes. If you're traveling with a flight itinerary, you should be fine. If not, even with you paying for it online, they'll hold the additional cost of the vehicle on your card. Per their contract, if you don't want the credit check, you'll need to provide additional information (utility statement, ID w/ the current address, insurance w/ the current address..etc) I have a lock on my credit and each inquiry, even a soft one, needs to be verified and approved by me. Needless to say, the gentleman didn't want to acknowledge what was written in their contract. I walked away without the car I already paid to rent, after all of that dang time waiting! It makes me wonder why the agent chose to ignore what is in their contract, I call foul on this one. The best thing about this awful experience would be me getting my three hundred back, quickly. The refund was immediate, and I ended up not needing the car. The weekend was enjoyed, and the additional money made it even better! I can't say I will not use Avis again, but only when traveling will I use them. There is a higher probability I will move over to Enterprise, sometimes paying a little more, improves the quality of service significantly.
