Horrible Management

I was forced to find a new vet clinic when the vet I had used for over 20 years retired and sold his practice. Story rd animal hospital came highly recommended by a close friend and I have been taking my pets here for a handful of years now. The vets themselves have been great, I have no complaints on them but I often wonder if the vets are aware of the frustration clients have to go through just to actually speak to anyone or get a response to either the app or phone. I dread each time I have to schedule anything because I feel as though the ones managing the phones and app don’t want to be bothered. I hate to have to put my pets through another change and to find a new vet but it seems that is what I may need to do.
Well I’ll be , I hate to force my pets to adjust to a new vet but it seems I might have to do just that. I scheduled my dog for her annual check up and had to text , call several times just to obtain an estimate for her visit. Then I found out today from chewy that my vet declined to approve a renewal prescription for nexgard even though I talked to someone at the clinic in June and my dog is scheduled for a visit in July, the clinic never told me they decided to decline it and so today I was told it was because it was for a 6 month supply instead of 1 month, well chewy doesn’t do 1 month supplies people. They said I could get 1 nexgard from them for over $30, I said I would be here today, they are supposed to be open til 6, but I showed up at 5:40 and no one is here. WTH is happening? Why is it so hard to find a loyal, local establishment that does what they say they will , answer the phones, stay open during business hours. This is so disappointing. They have changed their entire staff in the last few months, i should have known something was wrong when that started happening.

I had an emergency with my 12 year old chihuahua. All of the other clinics in Irving declined me as a walk in and Story Road animal hospital was the only one to take her in. They were extremely helpful and were able to bring her body temperature from 96 to her regular temperature. I am thankful for them for saving her

And the staff Were so caring and compassionate In my time of grief.
A couple of days ago I got a letter from them which included A card with Coco's paw prints on it. Although it made me cry Again it was so greatly appreciand such a kind and wonderful gesture. I will be forever grateful to their professional compassionate amazing service

Called to get an emergency first time visit. My cat was bitten and had a fever, they were able to see me same day, I did not have to wait long. Gave her antibiotics and medicine to take home. Thank you guys so much, they didn't overcharge me. Will return and recommend this place to others.

I’m mixed here. I have been using Story Road Animal Hospital for over 25 years. Many of my canines have entered these doors for care. I am not pleased to find out that all of my caregivers are gone from this office. No warning or advice to what steps to take during this transition of future care or visits. I will have to find the trust in another veterinarian.

I have gone to this veterinary office for 15 years and have not complained about their charges for any treatment. I currently have four dogs, so a large percentage of my expenses are for Story Road Hospital. Today was the limit! They charged me $51.51 for a vet tech to trim a dog's nails. The charge was $23.18 to trim the nails and $28.33 to trim/dremel. In January I was only charged $28.33. I called back and was told I was charged correctly, so I asked for a manager to call me. I know prices have gone up, but I cannot pay $52 every 6 weeks for a nail trim for 1 dog!

Dr Glenn may be a kind person, however, we need a Dr with good bedside manner. She came in, didn't say hi to our Boston Terrier, didn't pet him, and went on sticking a thermometer in his rear end. I have never seen this kind of behavior from a Vet. I'm very disappointed in Dr Glenn.
