I have been shopping here for a long time and never had any issues. Last time i went was a couple days ago and will be the last. I had found some boxes of tile that they had for 7 dollars and they were half off. I grabbed a couple and when i was going to pay some guy that was working asked me what the price of each box was. I told him and he said it could not be right. He kind of made feel like he thought i wrote the price down. Well he wanted 20 dollars per box which was not going to happen. It sucks because before this incident i would give this place a 5 star review since everyone is friendly and helpful.

The store is more organized than previously. Sales are texted regularly, just sign up. I found great Christmas bargains, some Fitz and Floyd. Also, quality clothing and glassware. The inventory is at the mercy of donations. Just go when you have time.

Please be aware they will scam you! I always count how many items I have they over charge me 2 more items. No credit on discount that should of been discount like 50% item they only gave me 15%. They always change the discounts daily!! If you not aware on the color item discount I would of paid 5.00 instead of 1.00. They over price lots of items that are not even in good condition. I miss the old owners and staff. Miss the color discount and .50 items. NO RESTROOMS can't shop for long if you have to go. If you buy 1 item they expect you to walk out carrying your stuff in hand, they have to ask to bag it?

This place is great! Very organized, the staff is so nice and welcoming. They have daily discounts and a great selection. Will definitely be back.

Change in ownership. Now everything is overpriced and for the first time I left with nothing in my hands. I don't even know if they support the local police/fireman anymore. Used to come every 2 weeks but I think it's time to say goodbye. Crazy pricing for stuff they get for free.

I have gone to this store for a lot of years, maybe 25 years or so, both buying and donating. But this time I received really poor service in their receiving department. They took a kitchen table and some chairs off my truck I was donating and the guy complained the chairs weren't too good. Yeah, they needed the seats recovered but were perfect for a DIY'er. How often do they get in 8 matching chairs? The manager came out and complained more. If you don't want it - don't take it off my truck. Then, I set out a brand new exterior flood light. The manager saw that the box it was in was ratty and he tossed it in the dumpster - really, he never looked inside the box. I told him it was brand new just in a worn box. He said 'Do you want it?' and I said Yes. so he got it out of the dumpster and tossed it back in my truck. I understand they have a new owner at this old DAV store, just a hint for you - You got to have stuff coming in to get stuff going out.

Today i went to shop on the door is Dallas County mandate Every one had a mask except the workers. When I asked why the female worker said the boss told her they didn't have to. I won't shop there anymore and I think everyone else should beware

This thrift store has everything I can ever want.. they have great deals on clothes, toys and furniture. I love the messaging (text) that I get updates when there is a sale.... Gotcha love those half price sales.. I’m up there looking for the best deals. So , you should stop by and take a look you never know when you will see a bargain or a great steal .

Loved it as DAV but since the new owner took over the prices are to high for a riquety old building, that has unlevel dirty floors no ac in furniture room and not enough employee. They tell you not ask you to put up your basket. I assume they are still taking donations but no longer donate to Disable American Veterans.
