This dog park is not just a place for our pups to play, but also a gathering spot for dog lovers in the area

Not very large but a solid park. If you have a small dog you'll love this park.

This place is hit or miss, but mostly miss. I've actually been bitten by a dog at this park. I've also had many encounters with dog owners who know better than to bring their unfriendly dogs to the park. I've seen too many dog fights being broken up to feel comfortable going here. If you do go, be very observant of other dogs and people in the park for you and your dog's safety.

Nice there is lots of shade and a water fountain. A decent amount of people not really paying attention to their dogs made me nervous

The good--This facility is clean, not overcrowded, and each pet gets a lot of attention individually -this facility provides free food to pets for people on a case by case basis-they are nice and helpful if you go in on the adoption side. Susan Waits is a good person. She just wants to help you and the animals The bad--they are extremely judgmental, and will place you on a permanent DO NOT ADOPT list for bringing in a stray-they euthanize healthy dogs simply for barking too much-they also choose to keep the heartworm positive dogs around and place them up for adoption, WHILE PUTTING HEALTHY ONES TO SLEEP just because the sick and miserable ones are quiet and accept cage confinement without protest

If I could give this places 5+ stars, I would. I've fostered here for the last few years and have interacted with the staff here a ton. They have a great culture here that puts animals first. They're accommodating and kind. I've had questions about foster animals at night and they are so quick to respond or offer a visit with their vet. We ended up foster-failing a cat from them 2 years ago who has been our world since. I highly recommend this place to adopt from, foster or volunteer with.

Great grass in the area with 2 shaded patios in each pod. My concern/problem is that they rotate from the front 2 pods to the back to pods every other month, I understand that this is to keep the park's grass in good condition but the back 2 pods are so far from the parking lot. There's not a very clear view to see your car and there have been cars broken into in the past. I suggest only going when the front pods are in use.

I normally take my dogs to Bedford bark park. I was in Irving so took dogs to Irving dog park. Grass is soft and well maintained. There is one fence that is separating small dogs and big dogs park, which my Maltese love, because he like to run along fence with big dogs. He normally have blast running with them.

It is a great place to enjoy with your puppy, the problem is that people with big dogs like to use the small dogs area just because, I went 3 times and found the same with different people. I saw how a big dog was not friendly with a small dog, in the small breed area. people said that the city of Irving doesn't care about this problem. I really double think about taking my dogs again here.

Let me walk you through my real experience.I adopted a 1 yr old car on my birthday, specifically to pair with my other cat. After being lied to about the nature of my cat. Being hid the fact that she was pregnant, and being bitten. The employees here asked me to pay $150 to surrender the cat. I highly advise you go somewhere more honest. I'm sorry to the families and animals hurt by this places culture.
