I'm shocked and disgusted by my experience at Goodwill at 2935 Beltine Road in Irving on 19 May. I was assured by employee Sierra that an item I wanted was on hold, only for her to sell it to another customer moments later while I was still in the store shopping. The manager, Bryana, refused to take responsibility or apologize, instead defending her employee's actions and saying the store is "in the business of making money". The whole ordeal was deplorable, and I'm left feeling frustrated and disrespected. The lack of accountability and poor customer service from both the employee and manager is unacceptable.
On Sunday, May 19th, I entered their store and immediately picked out an item in their showcase. Employee Sierra placed the item on hold behind the counter and assured me it was “on hold” since I was just entering the store to start shopping.
After shopping for less than 30 minutes, Sierra finds me in the store and asked “are you still interested in the globe? Then immediately said, “I just sold it to another guy!”…”what? But the item was on hold for me!”. Why would you sell an item on hold for me while I’m shopping only to seek me out in the store to tell me she had just sold it to someone else…deplorable!
I might be wrong but it seemed fishy to me like she had someone to come buy it for her. I immediately asked to speak with the manager and after nearly 10 minutes of waiting for the manager an individual named, Bryana came out. I explained what happened and she asked the employee if the item was on hold for the other customer and Sierra admittedly said, “no, it was in the case when she saw it and put it on hold” then went on to try to justify it by saying “the man came in earlier today and said “he was thinking about it then left the store”. As far as I’m concerned that made the item available for other customers to purchase. She literally sold the item to this gentleman even while she knew I was still in the store! I was utterly disgusted!!!
After standing there talking to the manager, Bryana, for almost 15 minutes and listen to her say “they were in the business of making money” and trying to defend the actions of her employee even when the employee kept saying she was sorry and he said he wanted to buy it and he saw it first…what the ever-loving…he saw it first but didn’t place the item on hold nor express interest in buying the item!
This manager Bryana doesn’t know how to manage incidents in her store and took her employees side even when the employee was admitting wrong. No apology to be heard just..”there’s nothing we can do about it now”. Absolutely deplorable!!!
Being frustrated I asked for their names and she refused to give me her name or the employee that helped me name and when asked for their District Managers name and number she acted like she didn’t have it then immediately called him and went outside and had a 5 minute conversation with him then turned and walked past me angrily, grabbed a piece of paper and wrote his email down and passed it to me and said..”he told me not to give it to you but here’s his email and walked off”…this Manager and Employee both need to be retrained on how to deal with customers.
If you shop here, please don’t put anything from their showcase on hold cause they’ll “sell it to another customer (or themselves) while you’re shopping then tell you, as their manager said, “were in the business of making money!” ?♀️?

I kinda like this store but I bought a shirt on Saturday and the cashier never put it in my bag. I definitely see it on my receipt and I’ve been calling but no one answers the phone. Definitely don’t want to drive all the way there and the cashier didn’t give a heads up.So long story short, I wasted money & the cashier stole my shirt

Don’t usually single out employees but Nikki was extremely rude and inconsiderate. Was double charged for a purchase and was spoken too like I was the idiot. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I got in line as a couple was checking out at 12:40 pm. I was the first person waiting. The cashier seemed new. A red haired woman with half her hair shaved came up to answer a question from the cashier at 12:50. She then went to the back. The cashier was checking out this couple until 1 pm. For that 20 minutes I was in line, the line grew halfway down the store. No additional help came until 1:03. Please do not leave a new cashier alone when it is busy. If you don't have another cashier, get the manager on a register to take care of your customers. By the way, no complaints about the cashier, only the policy of letting your customers wait in a ridiculously long line.

This is the third time in the last 2 years that THIS location has screwed me over. This most recent was my boiling point. They recently closed their dressing room but a few employees assured me that I could return whatever I didn't want within 30days. Two weeks later they tell me that policy no longer exists. DO NOT TRUST THE EMPLOYEES

The staff there are very friendly, there is one gentleman in particular who is very friendly and almost always greets me when I come in, he’s so friendly in fact that I’m usually tempted to buy something there because of that, and the prices are very reasonable and they are overall the cheapest store (and also the smallest) in the area.

The reps are so rude. They get upset if you ask questions about items. The lady who checked us out gave us the wrong receipt and it showed we were overcharged. Then she got a whole nasty attitude about it when it was her error. Then the rep helping her wouldn't even let us explain what we were there for, just to get a copy of OUR receipt, since we received a wrong one and she just shushed me up. She made me bring everything back just to rerun everything. We had already half way home and I had removed some tags. She tried to claim the tags didn't belong cause they were off ans wanted to charge more.
