Went into the store yesterday to get a gift card for my granddaughter. While I was waiting in line, the cashier was being extremely rude and condescending to a customer that was in front of me. They didn’t have a controller replacement available and told him he would have to go to Arlington to get one and there was nothing else they could do. The customer asked if they could call to make sure the item was in stock before heading over there. He called the store and said rudely “It’s Busy, so you can either wait or call them yourself”. The customer said he could wait until they could verify which sent the cashier into a rage in front of the entire store. He started arguing with the customer and then asked mockingly if he understood what he was saying! The other employee and all of the other customers were in disbelief at the cashiers behavior. The customer left since it was apparently the cashier wasn’t going to provide any help. Once it was my turn to purchase a gift card, the same guy told me they were having computer issues and that he couldn’t get the gift card for me. Interesting enough the person who he helped prior to me got $100 gift card without issue. I asked for his name and he rudely replied “Joe”. It looks like Joe has already received other comments about being passive-aggressive and confrontational with other customers. Not only is Joe unprofessional and immature, but he is also incompetent. I would suggest going ANYWHERE else but here unless you like dealing with ignorant employees that are too lazy to do their job! No wonder GameStop is going out of business.

There are right ways to do things and there are wrong ways to do them as well. The CS rep Joe, did the wrong here. I went into pick up a title that recently released. They informed me this was the last copy. Okay no big deal. But what followed is where I had a problem. Joe decided to get snarky and say "Maybe if you preordered the game you would have secured a title. " First off, this wasn't my normal store I go to. It was close to my work on my way home. Secondly, if you expect people to preorder anything then maybe you shouldn't be condescending and passive aggressive about it. Would I recommend going to this location? I'd say no. Yes it's one bad experience but sometimes that's all it takes.

The old guy that works there doesn’t know anything I clearly asked him 2 times if this card was for game pass instead it was a gift car then when I ask him I wanna make a member ship for games stop he tries to charge me 50 bucks when I clearly thought the membership was free so I tell him never mind I don’t what that. Now I have to go spend more money for the plus card. I tried using it cause I didn’t notice until I got home it said it was a gift card. And basically cause I was missing 81cents but if he would of just gave me the right card I wouldn’t have to show up tomorrow then his on the phone for a good 6 mins so I had to wait then the other guy kept following me when I clearly come there all the time and he also made a mistake cause he was so worried about me instead of being worried about his customer so he made a mistake and made them buy the wrong game so they have to return the game and buy a other one then I asked the guy if his okay and he gives me a rude I’m ight. Like Jesus at least hire people who know what there and are positive and happy cause I would love to work at game stop but I’ve never even had the opportunity to get hired there but dumb and dumber some how work there and clearly no nothing about games or even gift cards I could do there job with my hand tied behind my back and blind folded and when they do have thieves they get robbed like how pathetic you guys should hire people who actually know what they’re doing sorry I’m just really annoyed cause I wanted to play on the plus with all the free games on my Sunday before I had to work instead now I have a gift card so I’ll see what I buy now Have a happy thanks giving

I went specifically to GameStop to have someone educate me on the Nintendo switch which I'm not familiar with. I didn't catch his name but he provided an excellent service. Answered all my questions and gave me suggestions for my purchase. That is great service!
