I really like this DG, it is clean and customer service is attentive. I prefer this chain over family dollar and even Dollar Tree.

If I could post without a star I definitely would!! After a long weekend of funerals and hospital visits I wanted a simple visit into a smaller store vs a big grocery store. This evening JULY 7 at about 9PM after my husband was discharged from Baylor I wanted to go in somewhere quick so we could travel home! My initial objective was cat litter however as I browsed I saw more necessities, I went to the front to get a cart however they only had hand baskets. It may have looked like a struggle as I put my items over in there but it wasn’t, I was just on my phone getting my child’s list of items she wanted. So clear over my daughter talking and everything else in her background I hear the cashier say they just be retarded , like her with that cat litter just RETARDED. I said I’m retarded because I am choosing to hold my items vs leaving them at the front. She says oh well I was just saying you could have left it up here until you were done. Now granted that would have been a great suggestion or offer when she saw me up there at first but to not even allow me to get steps away from the cash register and call me retarded in front of the male worker AND customers too was a hard no. So I took my RETARDED self back to the front and left my basket. Crazy she would have even fix her mouth to talk about me and specifically call me out for choosing to hold that little bag of litter and the stuff I had anyway. This was the most rudest, embarrassing , disheartening experience and feel of emotion I have ever felt!!! This was definitely not okay! She doesn’t know how my day or weekend has been and how an offering to help would have went a long way toward kindness vs how she choose to use her mouth as a greeting! Not only did I waste my time I still had to drive home and go in a grocery store anyway!!

I’m not the type to review but it must be said.
Unfortunately, DG doesn’t provide names on receipts, but I’m sure y’all know who i’m referring to. My mother had a simple question about her total, and this female cashier immediately told her “Shut up, I don’t want to hear it.” I’m sorry - but last time I checked customer service is part of her job… The attitude was very unnecessary; specially given that my mom was being polite about it. The transaction was done on 6/17 so y’all can do the math and act on it. It sucks that she’s leaving a bad reputation, specially given you guys are a new location.

Mike and the other lady behind the counter at 1:30 PM today we're super kind, helpful, and amazing in general. I appreciate all of their help today in helping cater to my needs! Will definitely be coming back

Don’t even deserve one star. Very rude cashier when I asked her a question after her scanning my items. She swung screen towards me and told me to calculate myself? Like really I go in that store a lot but not anymore. I did not purchase my items after that experience. I really need to speak with someone from corporate about this situation. Because the cashier did say a lot more than needed

Went today and XAVIER was so kind /friendly. I went in having the worst day of my life everything was going wrong for me and left with a smile thank you Xavier you made my day please never change. And by the way I have never visited a store as clean as this one at 183/Beltline. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming thank you everyone ❤️

Recently started visiting the Dollar General's in my area to see what all the hype is about. I've seen YouTube videos of people stacking coupons and saving money in this economy and that's exactly what in setting out to do!Upon entering the store, I immediately noticed how NEAT and TIDY this store is. I have visited all 5 area Dollar General stores in the area and this is the one that is the most organized. The aisles were clear. I didn't trip over anything or die. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman stocking one of the aisles close to the registers. He assisted me with the layout of the store. He was at the register when I was ready to checkout and answered any questions I had. He was super friendly and insightful. He ended up being the store manager, Jermaine! Thanks so much! I truly appreciate your assistance! This location is the furthest from me but I will definitely be stopping back by!

I repeat don’t go to this dollar general he stole my money off my card and argued me down. Told me to get the f out the store and the other worker Hispanic was smiling at my 7 year old daughter sick people in this world . So i was just lost without my money and not able to get my items once police was called.

Placed an online pickup order 2 days in advance. When it came time to pickup, I called to see if it was ready. They couldn't find the order at first. Then she told me to give them 2 hours. Well, once I got off the phone, my order was canceled. I called then back, and they said we didn't touch anything. That's weird. She said. I'm sorry, but it was super obvious that they didn't want to deal with it from the start and just canceled the order.
