I put my van in the shop and wanted to get my transmission fixed, asked to get it rebuild, had no leaking problems when I drop it off. **** called me asking about a part that they were not know about, they thought the part was too operate the lift gate,when I pick it up and started driving it and it was leaking, and they refused to fix

Took my vehicle here for a transmission fluid change & Tony was knowledgeable, & pricing was a good deal. Definitely an honest place to take your vehicle if need fixed or looked at.

Had nothing but problems said it would be a week it took 3 weeks OK but I picked it up and it made it 2 miles stuck in first gear took it back got it a week later rear main seal was leaking heavily! Transmission started slipping took it back with a month of warranty they said it's fine but they can fix the rear main for 225.00 should of been replaced but they said they don't replace them unless requested. B.S. but OK so I leave and two weeks later Transmission goes out in Oklahoma transported it back to Irving and I didn't get it back for 2.5 months they replaced the transmission and said my ecu went out I paid for another ecu and reprogramming and it was finally able to pick up it's still not right but I'm not taking it back to them. Save your money and time go anywhere else.

I live in HOUSTON TEXAS, my truck broke down in FORT WORTH so I was totally dependent on internet reviews so here is mine. TONY is extremely PROFESSIONAL and PATIENT, HONEST AND INFORMATIVE. I EXPLAINED WHAT I EXPERIENCED WITH MY TRUCK and ALL THE DIFFICULTIES with getting it repaired. We spoke about 6 times HE towed it diagnosis and repaired it in 6 days even though I had SEVERAL other problems that need to be addressed. Tony is ACES in the customer service department and my true industry is CUSTOMER SERVICE even if the product is mediocre. All AMERICAN TRANSMISSIONS is 100% the real deal in his industry. Kudos Tony. I've always been hesitant to go into a car shop alone because I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to cars, repairs, etc. I was referred to Tony and his shop last year and he really is the most trust worthy guy in the industry. Very transparent on pricing, kept me in the loop while he had my car in his possession, and the turn around time was reasonable and convenient. These guys are top notch! I wouldn’t trust anyone with my car. I brought it in after I wrecked and they got my car up and running again like brand new. My husband has started going to them as well, and we recommend anyone who needs a transmission shop. Tony is always so nice and willing to answer any questions I have. The guys in the back are hard workers and try to get the job done quickly and well!

If your looking for a shop to rebuild your transmission or work on your car, look no further. Antonio and his guys won't let you down. I dropped my truck off on a Wednesday at 6pm. (Closing time) by Friday around 5pm I get a text that my transmission has been rebuilt and my truck is ready for pick up. Wow!!! Wow!! Wow!!! The truck is driving flawlessly. I couldn't be more happy with the customer service and the work that was done on my truck. I also received several photos during the process of rebuilding. Which was nice. Thank you guys. This was a well deserved review.

I tried this spot a friend of mine recommended but was on the edge of trusting them with my vehicle. I went for a brake job, transmission flush and a belt change. They were very reassuring about the cost and repairs and timeframe of my service. I dropped off the car in the morning by late afternoon it was ready. They allowed me to test drive the brakes and check for any issues I may have but nothing I could hear or feel was a concern. I usually trust the dealership with my car but after this crew took care of my vehicles repairs, I would come back and confident that I feel that the service was just as good as a dealership. Had my transmission Rebuilt in November, I put 3.5K miles on my car and in April it Thé transmission failed again. I had to pay out of my own pocket $1,4000 to towe it back to Dallas from Austin on Easter!!! They offered no credit to pay for the towe. The transmission was under warranty so they rebuilt it for free. They took 3 weeks to rebuild it, and they charged me for parts and labor for a part I needed for the transmission to not over heat. A day later after picking it up my car no longer starts due to an “electrical issue” that they can’t fix because they don’t do electrical work. I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy as they showed absolutely no love in their pricing or service. Please believe I am not someone looking for handouts as I make a decent amount of money but I am a business man and I know when good business is done. However there was no good business done with my experience from this company. Do yourself a favor and just pay the extra couple bucks for a more professional mechanic that not only cares about the customers but their experience as well. And I know you will see this Tony so I want you to know that I have nothing but respect for you and your business although you didn’t show me the same. I never wish bad upon anyone but I hope your business is treated with the way that you treat your customers, so how ever you view that will tell you a lot about what areas you need to improve in.
