Today is 8/23/2024.. I called the Bakery at 10:16 am this morning.. I simply wanted a 1 layer chocolate cake! The employee who answered the phone in the Bakery could not speak or understand English! She said 1
momento! I don't speak or understand Spanish but I was aware that what she said meant '1 minute'!
So she puts on the phone another employee who spoke English! I told her I needed a 1 layer chocolate cake! She said
'We will look & see if we have one'..
A couple minutes went by & I said,
'Do you have one'?.. Again she said
'We are looking'! After about another minute went by, she said 'We don't have one'.. I said 'Well I would like to get one today' & she said 'It won't be ready until tomorrow'! Does it honestly take 24 hours to get a 1 layer chocolate cake ? Needless to say, I had to drive to Walmart to get a cake! I have been shopping at this location when it was Minyards, Fiesta & now Albertsons & I'm suppose to wait 24 hours for a simple order, like a 1 layer chocolate cake! Get it together Bakery & step up on your customer service!

It's really your only option for grocery shopping in Irving. Friendly staff, no clutter.. no expired items like at the near by Kroger.

Quick, efficient and friendly service. I've had no issues with this location since the the grand opening. Thanks for coming to Shady Grove Albertsons. Less than a mile from where I live.
