Well, did as asked, came back to see them,... Guy at front desk didn't know who to contact, but a guy from the desk behind came up and seemed to take charge. Then they put me back w my salesperson. He apologized for over promising. He Said I could get my spare keys as promised, but I had to bring my car there. It's Sunday so I asked if I could just drop it there, I did, then got a call back to come get it as they couldn't do it for a month? So I drove back again and got my car. Still in the same spot? I truly doubt I will ever hear back from him, but I am Done! A Two Star is because the service department or it may have been 0.

so we bought a new Malibu from these people last year. The entire experience was horrible. Took almost 4 hours to get the deal done after I had them try to strong arm me into adding all of the "extras" - So today wife has a flat tire so I go to get the spare tire to put it on so we can get the other tire repaired. Go into the trunk and THERE IS NO SPARE TIRE! So I call Covert in Hutto and asked why a spare was not in the car?? Answer??? A SPARE TIRE IS CONSIDERED AN UPGRADE! What a joke this dealership is - stay far far away from them

Please do not buy from the dealership! It has been an absolute nightmare. I bought a new car six days ago, and still don't have it. It has been the worst experience of my life with buying a vehicle! We bought a brand new Tahoe, and regretted using Covert from Day 1. The buying experience has been awful. From the sales team, to the management, it has been a complete and utter joke. Buying the vehicle was not that difficult, we knew exactly what we wanted, had everything lined up for them. They literally just had to deliver the vehicle. I told the sales lady, Mireya, to double check it over before it was delivered on a Friday, late in the afternoon, when it was raining. I said, with this being a brand new vehicle, ensure there is nothing on there that needs to be fixed. I do not want to have to bring it back. Covert had no problem calling us multiple times, with multiple sales people and management pushing the sale. It was very pressuring. We literally got off the phone with finance, and had a manager calling us, asking us if we were going to "close the deal". Nobody communicates with each other. It's absolutely awful! We did get the car delivered on a Friday, as promised. On Saturday morning, in the daylight, we inspected it. The stripping around the sunroof was completely ripped up on top. A big scratch in the back the bumper. A scratch on the door, where they tried to touch up with paint, that did not even match the car color! And multiple other items. Including drips in the paint. When I called Mireya, I was told they are closed on Saturdays, she'll deal with it on Sunday. During this happening, I'm getting text messages from a manager, Bea, asking if I would like to come test, drive a vehicle. They would love to make a sale... They came and picked up the car on Sunday, and brought me a much smaller, very lower model vehicle to use in the meantime. We have been went back-and-forth with the dealership countless times. Speaking with Mireya, Kevin, and now Lorenzo. Nobody knows what's going on. Nobody can give us an answer. They've had the car for five days, and nothing has been done. They refuse to bring back my Cadillac I traded in. They refused to give me a date of when my car will be finished. This has been the worst buying experience I've ever gone through in my life!! I don't want anyone else to have to deal with what I have. Please avoid Covert Hutto at all cost!!!!

first I would like to say that when I can get my vehicle in for service there, the service department is great. The problem is that you cant actually speak to a service advisor unless your car is actually being serviced. You can make an online appt and that pretty much it. you can call, get transferred to the service department, then they will transfer you to "an advisor", but it goes to voice mail and they wont return your call if you leave a message. for normal service like oil changes, no problem, make an appt, but for anything else. good luck. Give it a shot, call and try to speak to a service advisor, wont happen.

***BUYER BEWARE*** I went to Covert Hutto to purchase a second VW Passat TDi because we loved our first one. On arrival met w Marcus, very nice to meet with. He went to look for the car, after a bit it was found in the other locations shop. I was unable to drive it, but he assured that it was just in for routine maintenance and to get it ready for sale. We made arrangements to purchase, no discounts. I asked for two keys, it had 1, and we were forced to buy a window tint and accessory package for $1500. Before delivery, we were told that they could not get tint done in time, we could get it done and submit invoice to be reimbursed. Three days after delivery, while getting the vehicle serviced (tires balanced and rotated because they had NOT been), the tire shop had an accident that smashed the whole side of my vehicle. I informed the dealership of the mishap, including Marcus and finance manager Brandon Sokol. Mainly Marcus was communicating regarding the tint & key, he said not to worry, submit invoice when I get the car back. That took months. I get the car back in July/August, as it was in and out of shop for other things such as both lower control arms being replaced, out tie rod, brakes, both CV shafts, and eventually had a turbo problem, not to mention the coolant looked like mud it had been so long since it had been flushed. Basically, the service department did the minimum to nothing at all to move the vehicle. I sent Marcus the receipt. No response. Went by dealer and left message. No response. Called. No response. Finally, I got ahold of Marcus after he moved to another Covert dealer, and he then didn't respond to my 3rd email. Come October/November, I start emailing others at the dealership. Mind you it has been near a year because of all the fiasco that THEIR DEALERSHIP created by selling a vehicle that had not been serviced as agreed. After a few more days of deliberation it seems Covert Hutto's management has decided that the promises made are not ones they want to keep, so I'd like to take this time to share that so other buyers do not have the same experience. I'm not saying they intended to defraud me, but that's what happened. Selling something with issues, with promises to take care of issues beforehand, and then not doing so is poor customer service, whether a day, month, or months later when there is obvious communication demonstrating the circumstances. I would not buy again from this dealer and would strongly recommend anyone who does gets what is promised before delivery. *IF THEY DECIDE TO CHANGE THIER POSITION THIS WILL BE UPDATED. UNTIL THEN I SHARE THIS REVIEW ON EVERY SITE I CAN TO HELP OTHERS AVOID THIS TRAP* Marcus, Brandon, Covert Management, you know how to reach me. I never called back and complained about all the issues with the car, just wanted what you promised at the sale. Be better humans. Update 12.4.2023 - have sent another email, this in response to a comment on another platform that gave me a contact name and email, unlike this generic response here. I'm still waiting response to that email

The customer service from the service department is really lacking. I have been going here for most of my customer service needs for my vehicles over the years but the but the customer service has really deteriorated. If you call just forget talking to someone other than the operator...you leave a message and your lucky if anyone calls you back. Their communication is abhorrent. I've decided to start taking my vehicles to another dealership to get them serviced

As We went through This car lot. And had major problems. Words to experienced we've ever had with a used car, I was going through the reviews And Is a good friend of ours on there. Knowing he is a Is single father of two. In a very hard worker. He goes to them to get a used car kia no less. With more problems that he can deal with.. Before the first payment even comes around. He's only transportation. The car lot didn't even check over. The vehicle at all because if they would have checked it over, they would have noticed that. the a c had zip tires on it Instead of brackets , One thing lead to another. Needless to say that the car is still in the shop and he has no vehicle. And they refused to fix it.. They didn't offer a loner or a rent car. It's christmas time. He's having to get rides back and forth to work.. Because they refuse to answer his messages. Timothy johnson We're going to do everything we can To help you and to let them know that we mean business. Like I said the BBB And then maybe we go talk to the news. Media. This is not right un fair! Guess you have to be of a certain social stature to be treated fairly.

Found a great car here, Made an appointment for a specific vehicle. Drove 40 minutes to Hutto, in a downpour, checked-in for my appointment, and waited 10 minutes only to be told the vehicle was lent out for the weekend. "is there a different vehicle we can show you?" Umm, no? How about - "sorry, we screwed up, let me XYZ for you... we should have checked first" A simple inventory check would have been GREAT when arranging a car-buying experience with a customer. Additionally annoying: I asked "PLEASE DO NOT SPAM MY CELL # WITH TEXTS"- hence, I started getting 9 texts from 3 different sales bots from Covert. Accountability and basic admin smarts do not exist here. If they can't follow a simple request, how can I trust these bumbling misfits with my automobile transaction?

I negotiated a deal with Angel. We couldn't come to an agreement so I left. 15 minutes later, Angel called and said they would do the deal. I then got ghosted by Angel and the dealership! I would never do business with slimy people like work at this dealership!!! Buyer beware!!!

I purchased a new $60k truck from them in 2019. At around 32k miles, I took it in for an oil change and told the service advisor that the engine occasionally hesitated to start and that I knew it wasn't the battery as I'd recently had it tested. They informed me that they had tested everything and suggested that I replace the battery soon. I replaced the battery and the problem persisted on occasion. At around 37k miles, I began to hear/feel a distinct humming & vibration when coming to a stop. I took it back to the service dept. to have that looked at, while letting them know that the startup issue was still happening. They told me that it would be a $200 diagnostic fee for both issues. I explained that the first issue had been looked at before, while under warranty but they persisted that they had checked and nothing was wrong. I paid $400 for them to tell me that I needed to change the battery and the humming & vibration was due to the TCM needing to be re-programmed. That was going to cost $790. I opted to not have them do the work, as I wanted to get a second opinion. It didn't make sense how this could be the problem for either issue. Fast forward 3k miles and took it to Mac Haik in Georgetown. Turns out the issue was both hub assemblies were bad and needed to be replaced. The starter was also going bad and needed replaced. The hub assembly replacement is covered under the power train, but the starter was not. I paid $1,100 to have the starter replaced. Had that been properly diagnosed at 32k miles, it too would've been covered under the trucks standard warranty. Do not take your vehicle to this service department! Either they are complete clowns and don't know what they're doing or they are crooks. I'd venture to say a little of both.
