Zero transparency on pricing. We normally do our own taxes, but went in to get some questions answered specifically on filing taxes for a rental property for our first year. They had already filled out every form, so we felt guilty about walking away once they showed us the $360 price tag. If you’re able to fill out the TurboTax software, save yourself hundreds of dollars because they provide no additional insight on your taxes and they ask you no questions to help save you money.Edit: A year later we realized that they didn’t even file our taxes correctly. It was our first year owning a rental property and they didn’t even mention we could deduct depreciation which is a huge tax benefit that we missed out on. I will need to file an amended return in order to receive the savings. This is a total waste of money and time, please go to a local CPA instead.
