Dr. Nicholson has been great with my furkids. Cost of meds is high but the care that is given, I will continue to take my babies there.

It was a very hard day for me. Any more you can’t find vets that are open on weekends. My own vet was closed & the vet off 190 in Livingston said it was open 8-12 but when I got there, it wasn’t. (A young man has his puppy who had Pavo and was desperate to get there as well, but they never notified online so it showed open, but it was not)
I was desperate because My dog had been diagnosed with a brain tumor that was malignant just two days prior and the vet said just keep her comfortable, but within those two days, her personality really changed a lot. I kept her sedate, but she was confused, disoriented, and I believe she had lost vision in one eye and may be hearing I could just tell by her reaction to things.
I called a vet in Huntsville Texas. They said they were too busy and I begged them to squeeze me in, but they said they were too busy. I am sad that although it does take time I would think A decent vet could squeeze in something as serious and difficult as a euthanasia.
Then I found the Walker County vet center who was open, thank God and they got me in 45 minutes later and it took me exactly 45 minutes to get from Livingston. I walked in the door and they were expecting me an usher to a room right away. The doctors assistant was very kind and gentle with my dog Birdy. Dr. John Pinard explained in detail the process and what the first injection would be and what the final ejection would be and I’m sure this was by design because the first injection being a sedative and a bit painful to Birdy. They allowed me to hold her and she calm down very quickly and they gave me 10 minutes, and that was a huge help to calm her and hold her for the last 10 minutes of her life before the final injection. She was very sedate and I could give her my last goodbyes in a nice quiet room, just the two of us. The final injection was not as painful to me as I thought because I had had the 10 minutes of her being calm and sedated To talk to her and say the last few things I had to say.
They are not my vets, but if I were lived in the area, they would be. It meant a great deal and still hurts today just Day later, but they presented her to me and a very nice bag, and they were gentle with her as if she were still with us and that means so much to me. I highly recommend this wonderful veterinary service.

Extremely kind, helpful, and respectful to pets and humans alike. There was no waiting room to stress out my dog - we waited in an exam room and were seen quickly. The vet tech even called the next day to make sure everything was satisfactory.
Top notch service. ??

Dr. Nicholson is the most compassionate vet I have ever worked with. The girls in the front and the techs in the back are simply amazing. They were able to get me in the same day for a pup that I rescued and am attempting to rehab. She was very scared, and they were great with her, I appreciate the compassion and patience. I have other vets closer to me, but I will make the drive to switch my other pets to Dr. Nicholson.

The assistants are wonderful and the doctors knowledgeable, however it is all about the money with this new ownership. I've used this veterinary clinic since 1998 when it was Richey Moore and then Moore clinic. The lack of working with customers is outrageous. EVERYTHING has a fee and the lack of empathy for the pet owners is sad. To get my female dog fixed was over $300 and when I asked if they did payment plans they suggested to drop her off at an animal shelter if I couldn't afford it. Another instance was an old stray showed at my property and bit my niece. Animal control offered to only take the poor dog to a vet of my choice (we are out of city limits) so I chose WCVC since it's my clinic. They actually had me pay the euthanasia fee when I was doing the right thing removing the animal from the streets.

Very disappointed in this place. I trusted them with my corgi who was pregnant. I paid for x rays and was told to come back in 2 weeks for a more detailed answer as to how many babies there would be. She ended up going into labor the night before the visit. Water broke at 11 pm and she had her first baby at 2:45 and nothing there after. I had to go to work so my neighbor took momma and baby up to clinic at 8 in the morning as she still had not had another baby. They sent us home with oxytocin and told to inject every hour so we did. She was contracting and pushing but nothing so I called at 11:45 they said they would check on us after lunch breaks… at 1 still nothing and she was very lethargic so I called the girls who answered the phone then told me I could bring her in for more oxytocin and more X-rays mind you this is going on 16 hours of labor and still only 1 baby so I suggested that the best interest of my baby girl was to have a c section and she started to me that they did have availability on their schedule for that I was more than welcome to cash around and find someone else to help me…. Not at all what I was expecting from a vet who say they care.

After getting a spay done somewhere else, my cat ended up getting an infection and had bad scar tissue. I came to WCVC and they were so kind and caring to both of us in my extremely panicked state. They were absolutely wonderful and even called me to check up on how she was doing. Thanks to them my baby girl is still here and we just took Christmas photos. I thank WCVC so much and will not go anywhere else.
