I started going to Amber at the JCP Salon in Deerbrook mall in August 2022. I am always pleased with my hair when I leave her chair. She is very passionate about healthy hair and ensuring all her clients get the best service. I always tease her and let her know she is stuck with me. LOLI get compliments all the time and I will continue to refer her to others.Services: Haircut

Well I love my stylist Rosalyn but the front desk customer service is lacking terribly I went in yesterday to get a silk press and lady at the front desk was on her phone and didn’t acknowledge me even when I said hello so I just waited at my hairdresser station for 10 mins before I called Rosalyn to make her aware I was there because I couldn’t properly check in because the receptionist was on her personal phone. All I’m saying is why have a receptionist if they are going to ignore the clients this the 2nd time this has happened with this new receptionist first last week when I took my son in and yesterday with me. The only reason I would recommend JCPenney is due to the work some of the hairdressers doServices: Haircut

Upon arriving I did not feel like I was welcome. There were 2 stylists talking among themselves and did not seem like they wanted to take any clients because they were not busy and seemed like they did not want to do anything. The woman that was cutting my hair was nice. But when I got home I realized my hair was completely uneven. My right side is longer than my left side. I feel like this place has really gone down hill every time I come here. Sadly, that will be my last going because I have not liked my hair every time I go.Service: Haircut

I went in the other day asking questions and needing some serious help on some decisions that I was about to make on purchases for some hair products. The ladies on duty were more than happy to help me with my questions even though it was almost near closing. For me it made me feel a lot better in purchasing the products. Knowing that they had actually used them and knew that they would work before I spent the money. Due to the cost of the product being a bit pricey. It was about $25 for 8 oz bottle of leave-in conditioner by Redken called antisnap.My hair now looks a lot better and I'm super excited about it. I will keep using the product to see how it helps my hair in the end when I am all done with the product.

I’ve had my stylist, Esmerelda long before she came to Instyle and I love her work. She keeps me coming back, and is the only one who has ever cut my little boys hair! I think we’ve now known each other for at least 18 years. I do have an issue with the fact that suddenly I am unable to bring my own curly hair products to use on my own head! My hair needs specific product if it’s going to remain frizz free in this humid Texas weather, it makes no sense to spend $35-$45 for a haircut only to have to re wash it and style it after I get home. I think that as long it’s just my head it’s going on, it should not be an issue with management or corporate.

I call to set an appointment for a hair cut and who ever answer the phone saying she was the receptionist...had a really bad attitude not professional at all and she sounded like she was asleep I like the stylist attitude band work .but this person just make me change my mind and find another place to go.

Shun has washed and flat ironed my hair once and braided my daughter's hair once. Very pleasant and customer friendly stylist. So happy we found her after moving to Spring, TX this past summer.

I am extremely tardy with my review. I received service in July..I was traveling and had a death in my family. However, while thinking about the current status of my hair, I recalled Shemika’s talent and professionalism. Shemika was rotating several clients, greeting customers and answering the phone constantly, while her other two coworkers conversed amongst themselves and one client. I never met Shemika before that day , however even as a customer receiving service I felt I had to assist her and answer the phone due to the lack of professional service of her coworkers. I was extremely pleased with Shemika’s customer service and skills but I was so UPSET and OFFENDED by the lack of professionalism and hidden racism of her coworkers. I am an African American woman, however my grandfather is Hispanic and it really hurt me to realize that the other women(Hispanic) ONLY spoke to and greeted Caucasian/Hispanic customers, and basically ignored other clients, including the elderly. I left the salon pleased with Shemika‘s work but I was emotionally drained and hurt by the actions of her coworkers. I give Shemika 5Stars and Praise but I give JCPENNEY Salon and their other coworkers 0Stars. I honestly wish I was a “secret shopper”...
