Very comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is not very good, it could improve and have more variety since you pay for it separately and it is not included.

Thank you to the sweet bilingual lady with the curly hair and septum ring at the front desk 10/26 around 8pm, and the restaurant waiter with the real southern accent. We got stranded in Houston overnight and could not have asked for a better experience for our party of 7.

Easy check in process. Nice clean spacious room. The bed and sheets were comfortable. The air conditioner worked good as well. Some areas of improvements would be touch up paint on the walls, increase water pressure and deeper clean in bathroom shower.

In one week I stayed at this, and 2 other Houston IAH airport hotels (the OTHERS were the Bst Wstern Houston Bush IAH and the Hliday In Xpress & Suites Houston IAH - Beltway 8).
This was a step above the others. The others had typical issues (Bst Wstrn housekeeping left 3 separate off-putting conditions in the room, despite being an almost new hotel, and breakfast wasn't really breakfast), and the Beltway 8 was in a very sketchy area, very small pool, water in it not clear, possibly because it was full of kids. Breakfast was decent there however).
This hotel was a step up - just a different class. The bathmat felt cushioned, not thin like at most. The hotel has larger spaces. Everything pretty new and working, with one exception - the hot tub was full, clean, and almost hot, but the jets would not come on (the switch box for the jets was visibly loose). I still sat in the tub a fair bit. The pool is large, water was clean, had a large deck, and I was the only person there. The hotel is pretty much as close as you can find to the airport (except for the on-field Airport Marriott).
Word to the wise - other hotel vans if sitting around there will offer you a ride "for a tip" - take them up on it) I waited for the shuttle at least 45 minutes . Front desk girl (the only one) first said the driver would "go there now" when I was standing AT the pick up spot, when I called 15 minutes later to say I hadn't seen the van, I was told driver went there but couldn't find me (not correct - I was standing there the whole time - in fact I got to know one of the other hotel van drivers by name, and took him up on his offer of a ride the 3RD time he came by).

Got in after calling from the airport because of a flight delay….had to wait even though we called and they said they had a room…no big deal.
Room not in the best shape physically….still…no big deal.
A/C-Leaking on the floor so took shoes off to relax and stepped on wet carpet around A/C…after so many little deals I was just tired.
Turn TV on and awesome, a football game was on…..but wouldn’t you know it…..it cut off just as many here have complained. I’ll post a pic, so just when I get into the game we are screwed. Then-a bunch of idiots on a Monday night in the hotel playing music loud, yelling at 11:00……
So not sleeping on top of losing a day, hotels, flights etc etc. a good rest would have solved a lot. Not happening.
Glad we are leaving tomorrow….ownership has no idea how to run a hotel.
Shining spot-Whoever the guy was in the restaurant and the bubbly bartender; They are excellent-best service I’ve had in a long time-Steak cooked perfectly, salmon cooked perfectly not over cooked. Everything we ate except Caesar salad was on point. Caesar was even cold which was awesome but just plain lettuce so meh.
Everything else and service….excellent.
This is why service is rated 5 stars…not because the hotel is great….the little restaurant has a great team and know how to serve and cook food.
Rooms: Need paint, A/C work and TVs that work. Need to dry the carpets. This falls on deaf ears-others have complained already.
Food and drinks: Excellent-Although simple and nothing fancy…
Quality steak and great cook.
Server is tremendous. Bartender was super sweet. Need some music in the restaurant…it was silent except for drunk guys yelling.
Service is above and beyond in the restaurant. Front desk-Sufficient at best. Cleanliness of room was ok except wet carpets, stains on walls and dust.

Nice hotel, good beds and quiet enough. Please note that your room window does not look out onto the air conditioning units, as those rooms are certainly not as quiet as the rest. Nice base location for the BASF RCC.
