It's a shame how they treat handicap people. They came to where my sister was doing her rehab back in August 2024 and ordered her a wheelchair. Called on 10/29/24 and was told that in order for my sister to get here wheelchair that they would need almost $2300 . We were never told in the beginning nor did anyone reach out to us why we waited and tell us that we would have to pay out of pocket.

I've never had to deal with such incompetence prior to dealing with this company. The worst part is that some of the employees seem to care and want things to run smoothly but that does not translate to all areas of the company.

Beware of this company. The company claims to make custom made wheelchairs specifically for each person. At first, American Mobility loaned my mother a loaner wheelchair while they supposedly specially made one for her. The only difference between the two wheelchairs was the size of the seat. We had to almost argue with the sales representative, Jerry, to give my mom the correct size of seat. My mother leaned over in both wheelchairs. She never leaned over in her previous wheelchair.Two months after receiving the wheelchair from Greater Mobility my mom was put on Hospice. The hospice nurse said the wheelchair was completely wrong for my mother. Hospice has loaned her a wheelchair that works great for her. My mom looks comfortable and isn't leaning over in the wheelchair from hospice. Greater Mobility refuses to return the wheelchair. Mike, the person in charge basically said she bought it, she's stuck with it. Luckily, Hospice provided my mother with the wheelchair she needed because Medicare won't replace the wheelchair for 5 years.

It's impossible to get a hold of this company on the phone. The recording says to push 9(?) for a directory but when I did, it went right back to the original message and then hung up on me. This is not the first time this has happened. The last time I had to go TO the store to get some help. I guess they don't need the business. They also have us at their mercy because I don't know of another mobility place close to us. Very poor customer service.

Absolutely the worst company ever! Their products are trash with short warranties so they will find a way to charge you additional monies for services such as service trips or shipping fees for parts. Service rep Jeremy is very discourteous and has poor ethical skills. These folks only care about money and could give a damn about our immobility. You've been for warned!

If you have a family member in need of wheelchair services, DO NOT go with this company. We made the huge mistake of switching to them from NuMotion and have run into so many delays with service. There is zero communication from them and when I call they rarely answer the phone. They screen the calls to avoid speaking with you. A hack to get thru is to call the billing department, they will answer and transfer you, that’s how you get through to someone on the phone(you’re welcome). They take zero responsibility for their delays, zero sense of urgency, very defensive when given feedback they don’t want to hear. No supervisor is available to take charge of customer service. Stay away from them if you can. We are stuck for now but will be looking for other options when the time comes.

They’re great at answering the phone and returning calls if you want something, but if you have any questions they don’t answer and either does Adam who left me his number and doesn’t return my phone calls ever they have terrible reviews and now I’m leaving mine

Purchased a lumex rollator from this company while my mother was in rehab and less than 6 months later, the backrest is not secure. Contacted company and they said there is no replacement part and if I can come to Humble then they "may" be able to find some spare parts. If not, I can purchase another one for $174. Ghetto facility is not close and my mother is back in the same rehab with the faulty rollator that they sold us. If you have a possible replacement why wouldn't you send it out to us? Why would I give you more money to purchase another one with the potentiality of another issue that you can't fix? Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing.

There is nothing great or American about this company! They repossessed my disabled brother’s wheelchair after there was a mix up with Medicare paperwork. They didn’t even give us 24 hrs to rectify the situation. They have no compassion and don’t care that he is also a dialysis patient and now has no way of getting to his treatment. Brandy has no customer service skills whatsoever and verbally expressed that “she didn’t care.” This company is awful!!! If I could I would give them zero stars!

I do not know what the problem is with this place. Individually, the people seem sincere, but as a group nothing happens. I have been waiting for 2 1/2 months for new wheels for my ride and ----- zilch!

There's nothing great or american about this company.. It will drag you along and waste your time! Be prepared to be let down because there is no accountability with this supplier. What do expect from some used car salesmans.

This medical supplier has no accountability. They will blame others and not accept responsibility. It's unfortunate that there are people out here that really have medical issues that need medical supplies that are let down by this company. Complete waste of time. I have had 4 major surgeries in the past 3 months and top it off this supplier decided not to follow though with getting my wheelchair made because I ask to many questions. I'm so glad that I no longer we will have to do any service with this company. It is your best interest to avoid this company. Told you in advance.
