This has been one of the better communities I've lived in. The leasing office is a team of highly competent individuals who jump on top of things when they arise, and communicate necessary info in an appropriate time frame. If it weren't for the fact that I need a bigger space for a lower rate I would stay here for another 3 years.

this has been my home for the last year, it has been great no issues at all. Brany has been very helpful at the office.

My experience during my last few months at Yorktown has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I encountered a serious mold issue which I promptly reported. However, when maintenance and a leasing agent inspected the problem, they dismissed it as insignificant, despite it being present on multiple items in my living room, not just my couch. Despite assurances, the promised visit from the property manager never happened.

At this moment I have mixed feelings. Apartments are okay and the residents are friendly. Management do a great job keeping us informed about issues in the community. However, there may be a lack in professionalism from office staff from time to time. My girlfriend and I were harassed by security while we was sitting in the car talking. In spite of telling him that I'm a resident he was demanding that we leave and continued to watch us. I called the leasing office to complain just to be told he was just doing his job. This doesn't make me feel safe or heard. Which is ironic because we're dealing with security and management there should be a feeling of reassurance that things will be better.

Well, I will be honest with my comment about these apartments. I lived there for a year and during that year my neighbor shot and injured another neighbor from another apartment, but well, that is one point, there is no security in these apartments, on the other hand, the electricity bills. You will get from $150 to $200 for an apartment that does not seem coherent to me. I think it is because of the age of the apartments that the electricity bill is so expensive, the water bill, they tell you that they will charge you an approximate amount, they give you the minimum and it is not So they divide the fee of the entire block of neighbors, whether or not you use water, you will have to pay a minimum of $100 and more dollars and when you leave these apartments, your deposit will not be returned to you. They will see the smallest detail so as not to return you, say this is a stain on a carpet. They will make you pay for the entire apartment, everything is abuse and they do not give you a solution, I fell there because it is where they will accept your request very quickly, but be prepared to pay like a luxury apartment and more ! Oh, I forgot and the day after leaving there was another altercation over firearms in the apartments! I do not recommend this place at all!!!

My friend was deceived into paying $150 in fees with the promise that the apartment would be ready for him afterward. The individuals involved were unprofessional and did not deliver on their promises. I strongly advise everyone to avoid these fraudulent individuals.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! The apartments aren’t bad (other than the roaches) but the leasing office is awful. Brandy is the worst leasing manager I’ve ever met, she’s mean and disrespectful. All she cares about is taking your money and taking advantage of you. When I moved out, my apartment was in excellent condition, but no one was available to do a walkthrough, so they charged me over $1400 in bogus move out charges. I took a video before I left because I knew they would do this, but apparently photos and videos aren’t enough proof. I’m trying to dispute the charges but Sagar (the corporate manager) won’t call me back 2 months later. I highly encourage you to NOT rent from any Adara Communities (especially Yorktown Apartments). They’ve taken advantage of so many people.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to apply here units are spacious however office staff is slow and lacks proper communication skills. I applied for this place a day after moving to Texas for work paid 50 for the application and 100 in admin fees. I feel I pretty much just gave them free money as I didn’t hear anything after I paid and applied. I would constantly call for updates only to be told they were waiting on one more thing and I would have an answer that day. Then surprise no answer. It was about 2 weeks of the back and forth when I finally asked for the admin fee to be refunded. I was told it was non refundable shocker there. So they pretty much took my money for an application and kept me waiting in the dark until I was finally forced to apply elsewhere so that I would have a place to live before my deadline. Just don’t waste your time if they are this slow getting tenants in imagine how slow they are going to be if you live there
