Linda Lowe and all of staff at Writers in the Round are gifts to the city of Houston and the world!! This fine group of musicians instills a love of music in people of all ages- young and old!! Somehow, the staff members at Writers find the best gifts in their students, and they inspire and help them develop those gifts to the fullest! My daughter has had a home at Writers for over 11 years, and she continues to go there as her “happy place”!! Bravo to Linda Lowe and all of the staff at Writers in the Round!

Linda does such a great job with the artists. You can tell she loves her work and loves her students. My son has flourished under Linda and Bill's instruction. This is a wonderful home away from home for my son.

Do you have kids? Do you want them to learn Piano Guitar Opera singing bass Pop singing folk singing song writing musical writing poetry writing heck, do you want to learn any of the above and more? Well, writers in the round is for you. what I love is that the kids practice to songs on the iPod and play along. The kids learn the music of The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, etc...rather than some boring old plain regular music (although I have no idea what that may be). The place is ran in a kind of fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants way. Linda Lowe, the lady in charge, appears to be a folk singer, turned crossing guard, turned messiah of munchkin music. She is very nice. She may or may not be disorganized, but I think she has resolved that with a new filing system. Prices are competitive. The company is a non-profit. Everything here is about the kids. The studio, the entire space is cramped, but cest la vie.
