Winsheng Books & Gifts 永盛圖書百貨中藥行 is a great place to shop traditional gifts during Lunar New Year month. The store is full of goodies, including some hard to find gadgets, CD, magazines and books from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.Winseng offers red envelopes and Chinese greeting cards all year round. I don't have to wait until Lunar New Year to get them.

Lady is rude and if she doesn’t want to work she should close her shop and stay home. Zero customer service skills for someone who runs a shop.

Don’t go there! The lady is rude and said I shouldn’t be a teacher because I think their stuff is too expensive. I can afford but just don’t want to buy your dirty and old junk.

If I could give this store a negative rating, I would. I've been here a couple of times and I have a tendency of forgetting to ask for a receipt, but honestly I think that it is a business unwritten rule that you are supposed to give the receipt to your customer whether they ask for it or not. But the lady is always purposely not offering to give you a receipt. Since she receives cash from most of her transactions, she doesn't give you a receipt unless you ask for it for the purpose of trying to hide the cash and not having to report it for her business income for when she does her taxes. It is not required for a business to give you a receipt, but you need to be cautious of dealing with this store since she doesn't give her customers their receipt without you initiating to request it.

2 thumbs up.Said my baba. This is walking distance from my Baba's house so he likes to go and chat with the owner and buy his newspaper. The daily Chinese paper (local) is 50 cents and you get a free world paper with it. They also sell tons of other goods. Books, CDs, novelty gifts, calligraphy tools and all the things you didn't know you needed. During the lunar new year celebrations, I love buying my lucky decorations and other things from here. They have a good selection. And cute. I've also been able to locate a few CDs in the past that were hard to find elsewhere. Its a great place to stop. I could spend $$$ in there so I'm limited to just newspapers for baba.
