I volunteer here. All wildlife is released back into the wild when capable of taking care of themselves.

We dropped off a nest of three live baby squirrels found inside a chimney cap. Two boys and one girl. They were evaluated and healthy. Highly recommend the Wildlife Center of Texas!❤️?✨️

Jessica helped us with a sick opossum that had been sleeping on our doorstep for more than 24 hours. Very kind and reassuring, as well as a very quick process for us. Confident the lil critter is in good hands and have high hopes for his recovery. ❤️

We found a squirrel abandoned in our yard and took it to the center for care. They were very helpful and took the squirrel after just a few basic questions about the squirrel and the situation. I appreciate them taking care of it and glad it is getting the care it needs.

I took this little one in for some help and the knowledgeable young lady who greeted us was happy to take him in. She explained quite a bit about what they do and made the in-take really easy. The center was easy to find, plenty of parking and friendly staff.

I was absolutely appalled at my experience here on Sunday. I brought in an animal and was talked down to by the most “know it all” staff. They basically lectured me like a toddler. It was already such a un-nerving experience then to be told it was “illegal” for me to have an animal when I was just trying to help it, like I don’t care. I feel like these people just want to try and feel like they have power but they really dont.

This center is the "Best" and part of the SPCA complex on Old Katy Road. Living in West Houston, the drive there is 30 minutes down I-10, exit Washington Ave., go left to Old Katy Road. You are immediately helped when you bring in an injured animal or bird. The form you complete is very short. You never hear what happens to the patient but I've learned from my Vet, who interned there from A&M, that when healed the patient, if safe, is released near where it is found. No fee is required, but you can put change or dollars in a box there or zap your credit card into one of 2 donation amount boxes. We have Muscovy ducks, born in our neighborhood, and both they and older ducks get injured. Today I took a teen duck that could not walk. No appointment is required. The whole facility takes in dogs, cats, horses and other farm types, and birds, possums, be careful with raccoons (rabies), unless a baby. You name it and they care for them. It takes a lot of money to provide care in this gorgeous facility. I give every month a small amount. If more did small amounts, what landslide of help! Go by for a visit. Take your kids.

Very helpful. Took an orphaned baby duck who followed us along our walk. We brought it home and had no idea how to proceed, but they told us to bring it right in when I called the next morning.

They are so great here. I took 3 baby squirrels that were in a nest that fell. They quickly took them to check them out and started feeding them. I know they are getting the best care.

We dropped off a baby squirrel, but at the main office, they don't know where to send you to the right place, but at the end, the last person was very helpful.

The staff here really care about the work they're doing and take amazing care of the wildlife in our area that need some TLC. Thank you so much for helping our backyard critter baby!
