Accident do happen and just as I stepped up to the checkout counter there were two eggs with big yellow yokes laying in egg whites the shells broken rolled off to the side. Then along came Maria. She block the counter with the cleaning cart and went straight to work on getting the mess cleaned up before anyone could slip and fall. She even made sure my shoes were clean before I walked away. Maria took pride in her work and wore a smile while doing so.I spoke with Tina that assured me she would let her manager know.I was happy to hear that management takes time acknowledge employees for the great job they do.

HEB is the only place I visit in that area. The HEB on Katy Freeway near Echo Lane is so much nicer and so much larger. Worth the Drive. But if You need local, this one has fresh fruit and a delicious bakery. They make a good Pecan Pie for the price. Check out the gourmet treats between produce and meats. My favorites include Byers' Best Candied Jalapeños, great on anything and Fischer Weiser Hatch Chile Jalapeño Jam on eggs! Get creative! Enjoy Your Meal!
