Very poor work and very rude condescending workers, literally laughing when I pointed out the highschool home economics class level of workmanship..My daughter's wedding dress was very badly altered at great wasted expense.* Over bustled, they charge per bustle so put all they could get on - 5 for dress and 2 underslip. It was uneven so higher on one side and I knew it didn't look right but didn't know what was wrong until we took it to a real tailor. He was pretty surprised at their work and pinned it correctly with 3 bustles folded so attachment was hidden. It looked so much better.*In addition to over bustling they attached it to the back with bright white hooks sewn above the bustle on a champagne colored wedding dress. They acted like I was crazy to think it looked bad. I'm attaching a picture of large white hooks above bustle and a pin where the good, professional tailor placed it.* My 45 year old veil was to be used and first they sewed it onto a wrong comb after we specifically told them which comb. Not only are they rude but they do NOT listen. At their place I knew it didn't look right but it wasn't until I took it to a good tailor he was incredulous at what they had done. He showed me it was sewn on upside down so that when correctly placed on the bride's head, the beading and pearls on the train were on the underside. *My dress - cups poorly sewn in with one higher than the other and showing out the top of the dress. Again, the new tailor was completely surprised by how poorly the work had been done.I tried to give them every benefit of the doubt but they were so rude and openly smirking and laughing amongst themselves that I thought it was bad work They were so awful to me that I almost wondered if really this was the norm and the best to expect. The real tailor I took it to after I took these items out of their shop was really surprised at the shoddy work. Fortunately he was able to make everything look like it should.Do not take your clothes here. Their work is bad and they do not care.

Vintage was so good to me! From the initial fitting 3 months prior to 24 hours before the big day, they altered my dress down to perfection! I always felt so welcomed each time I was there and they were beyond flexible with my schedule and took care of me as if I was their only customer. The sweetest staff and I am forever grateful for all the hard work they put in to making sure my dress fit perfect and the way I envisioned it. Thank you so much!

If you’re looking to save money on alterations, this is not the place for you. I took three articles of clothing (size small/medium) to be taken in and ended up paying over $140. In my opinion it’s a lot considering the clothes weren’t very big, BUT only they know the hard work that goes into their alterations. Their work is flawless and I would only trust them with expensive clothing or just needing more detailed work done right. They also turned my stuff in within the time frame they said they would.

I have been a customer of Vintage Tailors for over a decade, and they are the best tailors I have found in the Houston area and the only tailors I trust with my clothes. Even though I moved a little further away, I still drive 45 minutes to their site because of their incredible customer service and craftsmanship.Services: Shirt tailoring

I visited the store today to get some measurements for my traditional wedding dress. Merlyn was super sweet and patient with me and my toddler as we both needed our measurements taken. We appreciate that they let us do a walk-in and at no charge.I will be back for more service !!Services: Design

I had the best experience. The shop is lovely and they took such great care of my dress. I felt valued as a customer, even when they were busy. I’m glad I chose Vintage Tailors over the place recommended by the bridal shop. It was worth the drive. Vanessa and her sister did such an amazing job! She worked miracles because my dress was a few sizes too large and had many detailed pieces on the bodice. She altered it beautifully to fit me and in a short time. I even asked for her suggestions for the train length, and it worked out so well! Everyone complimented my dress. Thank you! Highly recommend

I would put zero stars but thats not an option.I first went there a few years ago to get a dress altered. They were very affordable and nice. I decided to take my wedding dress there this time. I payed 4 times the cost of my dress to get it altered!!!! They did not give me the extra material from my dress, they did not put in the strapless bra they said they would, and charged me $45 more to add 6 hooks. They charged me to fix my sleeves and yet they are still very loose. I am very disappointed that I paid so much money especially when they took in too much and had to wait 2 weeks for them to take some out. I guess because now they have expanded their location they have to up the price and because it is in vintage. I was also disappointed with their appointments. Twice that I was there I had to wait more than 15 min after my appointment time. I am a Veteran so I am always on time and punctual.I will never recommend anyone here unless they don't mind paying an arm and a leg. As for me, next time I'll go somewhere else where they are not trying to nickel and dime me for everything.

Wonderful craftsmanship. For the past 8 years they have consistently provided top-notch alterations from mens jackets to ladies dresses. Alterations are seamless with great stitching that never has come undone. The staff is cordial and knowledgeable in helping to advise for a best fitting. And they always do. Merlyn & Vanessa worked together to craft a custom bolero to wear with my wedding dress and it turned out PERFECTLY! I gave Merlyn a few ideas and showed her some pictures, and they were able to bring my idea to life + make alterations I didn’t even know I needed. I traveled all the way from Michigan to work with them and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Professional and trustworthy - customer service and work. I didn’t have a fancy wedding dress but rather common classic clothes hand-me-downs that needed basic alterations. They had great customer service, great work and delivered on time.
