This company has some of the worst management I've seen in a company. Complete disconnect from what's going and are completely retaliatory. If you have a conscience order from or work for a different company.

I subscribe to this service to obtain our dog's dry dog food, Royal Canin Dog Selected Protein Adult PR Diet Dry 25lb bag. The most recent order is shown below. Only 1 of the last 3 previous orders arrived on time. After some phone calls, I learned that both were caused by distribution delays from Royal Canin. Royal Canin communicates these delays to your company - I verified this information. Today (9/29/2020), your company representative denied this was true. All I want is for you to communicate that there is a delay in shipment to me and other customers when a shipment is delayed with a new approximate date of expected arrival. I depend upon the autoship to ensure that I receive our dog's food and other prescription needs (heartworm/tick/flea medication) on time. This notification allows a pet owner time to make alternative arrangements to obtain the proper dog food. You see, since this food is a prescription, I cannot just hop in the car and pick it up somewhere else. If my vet does not have this dog food on hand, I have to obtain a prescription and take/send it somewhere else. That business has to confirm with our vet. This can take a couple of days for the two persons to connect, assuming that I can go pick it up. If not, then add 3 - 5 more business days for the food to be delivered to our house. By that time, our home supply has been depleted. This is the only dog food that agrees with our dog's digestion system. I could set the order date back a bit further, but I really thought a 10 days' time was sufficient. As you can see below, the order was placed on 9/22 and when I checked the status of the order, the message reported "Filling your Order" for several days. But my order really wasn't being filled, was it?As of yesterday, I had a 2-day supply of dog food at home. The status of my order remained at "Filling your Order", which prompted some phone calls. I learned yesterday after inquiring myself through a phone call to your company that the order was delayed. So the order status in my account was incorrect. Your representative told me that it is Royal Canin's responsibility to inform me of the delay which is untrue. Your representative knew about the delay.I also learned that the original order was cancelled because its date was considered "old". After yesterday's conversation, it has since been renewed. The renewal only occurred because of my inquiry. I am glad that I contacted you or I would still be waiting for the box of food to arrive.I already receive the emails that indicate "we are getting ready to fill your order". So I know it is just as simple to send another message, "Your order has been delayed". I understand that, due to covid and logistics, orders can be delayed at times. But if you want to keep me as a customer, I expect the correct order status to be displayed and to be notified by email in a timely manner, that the order is delayed, so that we have time to acquire the proper nutrition for our pet.I await your reply to this matter. Thank you.(One week later, and no reply form the company other than the "thank you for contacting us" standard email.)

Broken record from other's experiences on here. We ordered life-saving antibiotics from them at the recommendation of our vet. They initially said it would take 3 days. That was 10 days ago and we still don't have the medicine. We've contacted them 4 times since. No one could (would help us). They finally said IF they could find our order in their system, they would overnight it... (sounds familiar to other people's experiences on here...one from 3 years ago on here that they replied they were fixing at that point!). If your pet's life depends on medication, do NOT order from this horrible pharmacy. Take your business and your animal's life to a better, more professional & compassionate business.

Placed an order going on 10 business days now and it still has not shipped even though I was already charged. If there is going to be a delay, let the customer know at least! Poor communication and bad customer service from this company, so I will not be using them again after this experience.

I worked for the company. Was very happy at first. Always volunteered for overtime, benefits were fantastic. We were then bought out by Vet's First Choice, a publicly traded company. When it came time for my very promising raise I got a cost of living raise, and for those that are unfamiliar with that raise, it's a 1% increase. Everyone in the company did. Prices went up in medication, employee pay wasn't anything to be proud of, nor could I afford to continue to work there being a single mom.

I have never had any trouble with this company and have been getting a script filled there regularly for two to three years.

Everyone I worked with was nice and helpful. My cat's prescription always came on time and she loved the flavor of the chewy tabs. She was super picky and wouldn't take pills, so having this option made all our lives better.

I have all but once received my orders in a timely manner, and the issue with the one prescription was a shortage of the drug. Could they have communicated better - probably. But, all the orders that flew threw and were received makes this one event of little concern. We are all not 100% all the time. One thing that people must keep in mind is that the vet can delay an order if the refill hasn't been updated and this is not the fault of VPA. I also had that happen once but I cannot say that it was VPAs fault. I have found the chews very successful for my cats, especially the liver flavor even though I don't typically feed them liver. It must mask the taste of the meds well.

I am perplexed by the bad reviews, as we have been so satisfied with VPA for years. They have been incredibly helpful the last 10 years that we have used them... never a delay.

Cannot say thank you enough for the excellent service VPA has consistently provided us over the last year in helping care for our 19 year old cat, Buddy.

I am a vet tech at an animal hospital and have sent many patients to use this place. I myself use this as well for my cat's prozac treats. I have heard many complaints from clients at work and I myself have a problem now. The last time I ordered her scripts I had to call THREE different times because I waited on hold for twenty minutes and left messages that I never heard back. The third time I finally got through and placed the order. I inquired if they ever got my other messages and they said no. The phone rep I spoke with was nice enough and I received my order in normal time. When I got the order though my bill that was always 40 bucks jumped to 70. When I emailed and asked what that was about I was told their prices jumped and that I should have been told about this when I placed my order(which I was not). The chew treats had a few in them this time too that were either exceptionally dry or so wet they kind of smooshed trying to get them out of the package. I was going to look around for another pharmacy but thought I'd give another chance because my cat loves the treats so much. Tried calling to refill while at work and was on hold again so I thought I would refill online and what a surprise the site isn't working when I try to refill. I've had it and will be trying to find another compound pharmacy that makes these treats.

Cannot say thank you enough for the excellent service VPA has consistently provided us over the last year in helping care for our 19 year old cat, Buddy. Prescriptions have been re-filled easily and quickly shipped to our home using the standard Ground service. Buddy has been on the Rx now for the last year; his quality of life has improved noticeably and we are so thankful for the additional time with Buddy this Rx service has helped to provide. Thank You!!

I have to agree with the other negative reviews for VPA. We are a clinic and have been using them for years for our compounding needs. Never had a problem until they were bought by Vet's First Choice. I can't stand Vet's First Choice anyway and in my opinion, whoever owned VPA made a grievous error in selling out to them. I forgave the long wait times (I order online anyway) due to the transition. But the price jumps are ridiculous and make it unaffordable to use them any longer. I now use Wedgewood, Diamondback or local compounding pharmacies.
