I been coming here since I was a teenager and over the years they been great with finding cheap stuff. Over time the prices have gone up so drastically it seems cheaper to buy the stuff brand new online or at least from Walmart. The workers are really helpful though. They have really good customer service skills. Especially the lady in my pics she has Macy's customers service. She was thoroughly showing me where to find stuff and made sure I was satisfied before she left. I did see some unique finds and plenty of merchandise. However the prices are so high that could explain the abundance of products. I feel that is wrong for the area and the fact that the stuff is donated freely they need to adjust the prices to the demographics of the area. Low income people are not benefiting from this place unless it's the half off days. They use to have coupons in the green sheet for half off but I haven't seen it lately. Other thrift stores offer 25 cents days where everything on a certain day is 25 cents I highly encourage this at this location. They have furniture, electronics, clothing , collectables , school uniforms, shoes, jerseys , brand new clothes with tags and so much more. 3 floors of merchandise to look at. If your in the area stop by and see for yourself. Some of the prices I loudly laughed because it was hilariously over priced. But if you sign up for the coupons they send you a text telling you everything is half off.

If you are a true thrifter, and by that I mean you really like to find the deals and dig for the treasures, then you would enjoy this place. It's so big that you must come with plenty of time to explore everything. There's split levels with furniture upstairs and everything else downstairs and there are even more stairs so keep that in mind while shopping. There's no way to bring the shopping cart up to the second level which is where you must go to check out, that's the strangest part about this place but it's doable. They have an app that tells you when the deals are and just so happens I was there on a 50% off day and that was awesome!! The employees are all so friendly and helpful, I literally get stuck in this place for hours and my teenagers love it as well. The prices are the best part, can't beat them. They have a huge selection of baby clothes and bedding, clothes for everyone and everything is organized in a way that makes sense. Definitely recommend!

I was thrifting normally and I was about to leave, the security guard at the door snatched my bag and began going through my personal belongings, pulling each and everyone of them out I GUESS I WAS BEING ACCUSED OF STEALING?? The security guard called over a worker and the worker told her it was okay that I didn’t steal anything, despite THIS WORKER SEEING ME PUT BACK SHIRTS ON THE RACK OF CLOTHES I DIDNT PLAN ON TAKING TO THE REGISTER. I asked if I was being watched and the worker said no, but there was a “no big bag policy” DESPITE not being told anything from the beginning AS A ANOTHER SECURITY GUARD saw me go in with a big bag. Then the security skittishly was putting my things away, while not putting my personal digital camera on its sleeve properly so I just took it from her hands to put it in the sleeve myself.SO SO disappointing because this was one of favorite thrift stores in Houston, now I do not feel comfortable of coming back. Another VV in Harrisburg told me from the START as I walked in that I must leave my bag in the counter. WHY couldn’t THIS VV do this? Please be aware of this place, keep in mind not bringing big bags or backpacks to Value Villages, I guess this is a new policy.

I’m a value village member I get the texts etc. I used to love this value village but who ever they have doing the pricing has lost their mind. Everything is over priced now that you don’t wanna shop here unless there’s a discount happening. The thing that specifically upset me is their baby onesies and baby pajamas were average of $6-$8. They get these items for free, it’s supposed to be for people in need. It’s in a lower income side of town not the suburbs or anything - these are baby clothes they wear for 3 months - none of the clothes are organized by size and usually are dirty (which is okay and understandable but not for the price they are charging) - goodwill even charges only $2 for baby clothes usually - other competitors like kid to kid and once upon a child has better quality clothing and they are organized by size and clothes must be washed and they charge less than what value village is charging. An adult sweater or adult dress sure. But they are charging that much for baby clothes when the baby outfits are so packed on the shelf you can’t flip through them. so clearly y’all have enough which means you don’t care about your every day customer - just your profits. And if you’re thinking well just don’t shop here, I didn’t, and I’ve been coming back to this location less and less

Please get a friendly cashier that actually greets and tells you the total and will say thank you. The woman today ringing me up at the cash register near the wall at 2:10 pm couldn’t even tell me my total, I had to look at the pin pad to see my total. The young man helping bag at least said thank you.
