I am new to the area, and moved into the apartment next door and my fiance used this gas station to get some snacks. They were about to get rid of some donuts and my fiance was willing to pay for them then the store employee just threw them out. He was so mean to her about it too. He humiliated her for wanting to buy from the store in the first place. Even though I live so close to this gas station, I will not give my business here ever again based on how mean they were to my fiance. I thought the south was supposed to have southern hospitality and kindness. Boy was I mistaken!!

I have been coming to this store for years because I used to live across the street and I’ve never had any issues. I’ve always had great relationships with the management so today I came in as I always do because I come to get my polar pop fix but today I want something different. I wanted to get some scratch off tickets and some fruit and so I chose my ticket and the clerk tried to get it out but it was stuck. I suggested maybe they’re didn’t have anymore but there was a couple of them together and they were stuck in the hopper. The manager I did not see her name tag it started with Mon something, she attempted to get it out and she told the clerk that I wasn’t gonna get that ticket that I needed to pick another so he asked could they open it up and she said "no are you crazy?"which I felt to be very insulting. As a target of a respectful workplace violating leader that caused irreparable damage to 20 plus employees before they were walked out of the front door, I know the importance of somebody who is in a management or in a leadership position that they do not abuse that power by humiliating their team. I didn’t want another ticket I wanted that particular one who’s to say that that wasn’t the winning one so I did offer a couple of suggestions to fix the situation because if there are tickets stuck in there you still have to sell them so you’re not going to just leave it stuck in there. I feel you should try to at least make a solution be a problem solver not a problem maker when it's all said and done. I asked her about the fact that there’s tickets in there that need to be sold and she said "well how am I going to sell it to you if I can’t get it out" She was very kind condescending very closed off even though she was trying to get the tickets out I do credit her with that I just did not like the way she handled me nor her employees and in the process of her trying to get this ticket out an employee came in and she stopped what she was doing and said you’re late in front of me, which is a big no no you don’t admonish your employees in front of customers. That as a leader I know that principle very well I was very disappointed ultimately I ended up leaving I didn’t I left my fruit purchase there I didn’t get my polar pop like I normally do but I go there just about every day so this is my first time seeing her so she must be new. she’s not starting off to a great start I realized how hard and how difficult it is to find good and keep good health at this location I worked with George or I had been here where George was working and he was always a great he was always a great person and and friendly and approachable I’m not sure if he’s still there or not but I know this young lady absolutely needs some retraining I am sending this review because ironically the store was very clean and I was going to give her a compliment and I was going to do a review in the opposite direction but that particular um experience for me was pretty devastating I must say not just because I couldn’t get the ticket because I recognized that mechanical issues do take place but you know you don’t you have to try to be approachable and you have to at least work with people because you know I’ve worked for convenience stores as a matter of fact I used to work for 7/11 we used to sell lottery tickets and there was always a solution to a problem she just basically flat out told me no because probably she didn’t feel like me and bothered and I don’t like her I don’t appreciate being treated like I’m bothering somebody who’s working at A at a location so uh hopefully this will change the treatment that I saw and I was only there for probably about 7 minutes was deplorable in my opinion and like I said I was a victim of someone who treated our team that way and we lost twenty team members 20 good hard working people um so I’m not sure if anything will be done but this review is definitely reflection of that the store was clean but the attitude was very dirty
