Was given the info to reach out about the rapids rehousing program. Not a single person answered the emails nor the calls. Not a single person wanted to help. We are not needing housing but simply the resources provided in the huge email the VA states to call for the help. Don’t waste your time and get the run around like I did. I’m not sure why they claim to help when they don’t. Zero communication or help. I don’t get it.

I wanna give 5 stars so let's say 4.5 to be fair. And that is because of this place taking me in from living on the streets for nearly a year. Also, to my case worker Howard Jean-Louis for keeping it ?. I've made a lot of friends and I've gained 25lbs or more from eating 3 squares a day. I graduated from the ENTRYWAY Program here for Apartment Maintenance. And soon I'm going back to school for HVAC. This place does have a history though. And a very colorful one at that! But I chose to mention the good things instead. I appreciate everything US Vets. See you in Tomball (possibly).

This review is long overdue.LADIES STAY AWAY!!!! If you’re a female do not stay at this place, you will not be separated from the men. I was LIED to by a woman named Joelle who works for them. She told me the men would be on one side and females on the other side but that is not the case. The men were on the same floor as me; which is not safe. The only thing they gave me for protection was a walkie-talkie. I had my own room but the room I was in was awful, old, and nasty looking. Not all, but majority of the staff there was nice. If you need a place to stay I recommend The Jacquelyn House, it’s soooo much better, but you do need a referral.P.S. They are very pressed about getting your social security number so if you do decide to make the mistake and go there you will have to give them your social or they will say you have to leave. Hard to believe someone wants to help you when they will put you out over you not wanting to give them your social. They claim that’s how they get grants from the VA or whatever. Don’t know what my social has to do with them getting grants.

My experience with US Vets has been great. My case manager Julie Randolph and her supervisor David Lopez and among others fight for veterans assistance and Hud-vash. All staff are here to help. Can't forget about Miss. D

Poor management. Don’t give employees raises. Treat people with very little respect and isn’t a normal apartment complex. Great to go to with housing vouchers though if you can get past the screening.

Even though the Veterans Affairs is PLAGUED by Problems and inefficient ways. EVERY SO OFTEN, you meet an Angel dressed as a Human. Not only that, they treat you the same way! The Golden Rule on DISPLAY! Mrs Lawson was so absolutely amazing. In her "OWN RIGHT" SHE made up for 11 days of little to zero VA HELP: IM so HAPPY and HUMBLED that people like this -exist to help the affected soldiers in the Community. With this BEAUTIFUL soul running things. It can give a person cause to keep trying. Im glad I met Her! Im happy she helped me! Im truly blessed and thankful) Thank you R. Lawson. Also Mrs Julie Randolph! Fact is from Mrs Dee at the front desk all the way to thevtwonm:

Very unhelpful since I've been here. Maybe a shelter is better. Don't stay if you're younger than 50 yrs. They must discriminate or provide housing for bad people. It's a waste of time if you want to work too. I don't get it.

As a Veteran who has been stationed in hostile locations overseas and lived in unpleasant conditions, I can see that USVets housing is a blessing to some. BUT! The conditions there are less than desirable. Do not look at this place as a long term solution.

I am a Proud Honorably Discharged U.S. Army Veteran. After discharge I battled substance abuse and mental health issues that lead to incarceration and homelessness for over 20 years. In 2008 this program U.S.VETS-HOUSTON provided the services that began my journey to long term recovery. Twelve years later I'm still living clean and sober and living independently. If you're a Veteran are a family member of a Veteran who needs help. Reach out to this organization. Everyone else go online and drop a donation to support our heroes.

Great program for veterans who need help. They have a number of different options to help assist veterans struggling to get back on their feet. ?
