“Mike, Terri and their crew are very detailed oriented and run a professional repair shop. If you take a prior appointment from them, they do not make you wait excessively like at some repair shops. I took my car to get air conditioning checked and fixed as it did not cool as much as it used to. They clearly explained to me the process they would follow and suggested a time at which I can bring the car and the time it would take. They stuck to the timelines and the initial quote provided, and the car air conditioning (for a 8+ year old car) is now as good as new! “I brought my truck to Gearheads because I was having issues with my 68RFE going into limp mode. They brought my truck in and diagnosed the transmission while I waited and determined that I was losing my overdrive clutch and the valve body was failing,which are common problems for the 68RFE. I left the truck with them and they rebuilt my trans with upgraded valve body, billet torque converter, billet input shaft,and added 4 extra overdrive friction plates.This transmission is night and day difference from the stock build. It shifts smooth and not as jerky as the stock unit. I towed a 25' trailer with 2 side by sides with zero issues. If you're having issues with your 68RFE do yourself a favor and come to Gearheads. You won't be disappointed by this family owned and operated business.”
