I am a Grand Reserve member with Total Wine (58k points) and have frequented the Holcombe location for 7+ years. While most of the staff is friendly, there is a manager named Ellidge (sp) who has never once acknowledged me while shopping, which in itself is unusual. Today, while attempting to exchange an item, he listened in to my conversation with Oscar, and displayed a huge smirk as if I were trying to scam them. I left feeling completely humiliated. It won’t stop me from shopping here but this guy is rude.

I stopped in Total Wine specifically for Watermelon Flavoring because I wanted to make ? margaritas. The store rep said they didn't sell it but that they had mango and other flavors. I went to the isle and big as day: ? margarita mix was staring me in the face. What a pleasant surprise!!

Really nice, clean and well lit store. Excellent selection, especially of Bordeaux and California Cabernets. Some of the rows aren't as well alphabetized as they should be, but there's a lot of inventory. I believe the manager is "Bob", and he is extremely helpful ,and knowledgeable as well. We love their 10% discount for a mixed case of six and that they take credit cards. If you watch carefully enough, you can even catch a 15% discount on many wines but this only happens from time to times, and usually without much warning.These were two of my gripes at the other large store in town. Came with my girlfriend to buy Sake. We get approached by a very kind gentleman selling his tequila brand. Tequila was ok. I informed him I did not have my I.D. I was ok with not receiving anything. He approach us. Nevertheless, the conversation was pleasant.
In the back we were assisted by a young man on our sake interests. Also, very friendly.
When we get to the register we were asked to both present our I.d’s. I didn’t have mine. Manager is called and I am told to leave the premises while my girlfriend conducts her business. This man knew I was served alcohol upon walking in. But he just had a bad way of dealing with things. As I walked out I overheard him talking about what he had done at our counter with other subordinates like a funny joke.
My number was used for the points and my credit card was used as well. Bravo…. Bravo…

Very large wine, beer and spirits store. Would have been great if any of the 5 workers had offered any assistance at all considering I was 1 of 3 people in an otherwise empty store. It seems they do tastings and classes as well.
