My dachshund is experiencing signs of IVDD which can end in paralysis of his back legs. This has happened before and had to have immediate surgery. I called to try to get an appointment because it also causes extreme pain. I was told no availability for two days. I expressed that with other vets there is a more immediate sense of urgency when this occurs and are they sure they could not see him. I was hung up on by the receptionist when told if I needed to go elsewhere I’d end my relationship with this vet. Not only rude staff but if a vet cannot flex at all to support an emergency, why would anyone continue with that type of vet? 10/10 would never recommend.

I took Charlie to Thrive because I saw his previous owners had taken him before there before they passed away. I took him in to be with me now but did not have any records. I started fresh with Thrive pet Healthcare any was pleased with our visit. The staff is very caring and office is clean.

I’ve often felt pressured by vets into accepting unnecessary treatments and purchasing expensive products. It was never just dealing with the issue I took my pet in for. Then I was made me feel that I’m a bad pet parent if I pushed back. The staff at Thrive never made me feel that way. They addressed the issue I took my pet in for, worked within my budget and made gentle suggestion on other idsue to address when I’m ready and can afford it. They even suggested where to purchase flea preventative at at a lower cost than their price. WOW! That was refreshing!!!

Do not go here. I have been visiting Thrive since late January for a chronic issue with my cat that is still unresolved due to lack of communication between team members and with myself. These people only care about the money they can extort from you, not the well being of your pet. My cat had two surgeries- one was necessary and done poorly, and the second was an attempt to fix the mistakes that were made in the first surgery which just ended in my cat being in worse condition than when she was before. Surgery one was a mass removal/abscess drainage with blood work done. They did not state at all that an infection was found in bloodwork and they did not give me any after care instructions whatsoever. It was not until surgery two that they stated she had a SEVERE infection that required lab results to figure out what antibiotics she needed. This could have been performed in one surgery altogether but instead i was charged at extremely unaffordable prices for two surgeries. Additionally, her second drain tube was not even placed correctly and was kept in over the recommended time causing her body to reject it and it came out. Once I took her to the vet for this they stated she would need a THIRD surgery to implant another tube. Do not let these people scam you and botch your pets; you are nothing but a paycheck to them. There is no warmth, there is no communication on how to care for your pet after complications, and there is no professionalism. I was told something different every single visit I went there, and I was always treated as if it was my fault that my cat was unwell. My cat has lost over 4 pounds through this process and is now literally skin and bones with multiple open wounds! My entire experience here I have encountered only 2 employees who were honest and somewhat helpful . Go literally anywhere else. I am severely disappointed and beyond frustrated.

The Dr’s and staff here are wonderful. They take time with your pet and you don’t feel like they are rushing you out. They truly care about your pets wellbeing.

I moved and needed a new vet. Thrive was closest to my house. My dog only needed one vaccine, so i made an appointment online. They were friendly, knowledgable, and did not try to upsell me on treatments he didn’t need. Very happy with my experience!

I will say there has been significant improvement here! I know before I was pretty frustrated considering I was seeing a different vet each visit that was giving me a different opinion on my pet every time , but they finally have a secured vet, Dr Z, who is AWESOME and very KNOWLEDGEABLE. I was literally going to move vets but i will definitely stay now! Krisitna the lead tech is great too ! Thankyou for yalls dedication to our fur babies .

We’ve been going to Thrive-Heights for over 10 years. Prior to that location, we went to Thrive on Westheimer, which closed. Great, friendly, skilled people at both locations. Highly recommend.

Beware, this place can’t get their s#%€t together, I tried to get medicine for fleas, they prescribed 1 for my dog and when Chewy called to confirm it Thrive declined saying that my dog needs blood exam, information that was never given to me, so they prescribed another one, so I called Chewy again and placed that order, after doing that, I got a call from Thrive saying that they gave me the wrong name for the medicine, that they will give me another medicine, so I had to cancel the other order again from Chewy, this place is ridiculous stay away from them if you can
