I just checked in after the worst day of delayed flights just wanting to crash and get some sleep. It’s 65 degrees in the room and there’s no heat. I was offered another room. The maintenance guy came by and handed me a plug in heater. I said no thanks. I’m going to relocate to another room. He said all the rooms have no heat because the boiler isn’t on and won’t be turned on till the winter. I’m a Hilton girlie and I gave royal Sonesta a try. This is ridiculous. Never again.
Rooms: Temperature is cold. It’s October and there’s a cold front until Friday

Food and drinks from the bar and restaurant where fantastic. Outstanding service from one of the bartenders, named dean. This bartender made time for great customer service and great cocktails while being extremely busy! We will definitely be back.
Food and drinks: Ask a bartender named dean for an old fashioned. He makes them modern and contemporary! We all ordered more than one! 5 stars for modern luxury cocktails and his superb customer service. Thanks guy!

I had an excellent experience with the front desk agent during my stay. Lala was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive to all of my needs. From the moment I checked in, Lala made me feel welcomed and was quick to assist with any questions or requests. Her warm demeanor and efficiency set the tone for a wonderful stay. This hotel seems to be chronically understaffed. Between the front desk and the bar on my first night, I spent more than 90 minutes waiting in line to check in, pay for parking, for food, and to pay for the food. Having said that, all the staff were great, there just simply wasn't enough of them.
I was there for a conference, and the events area was well staffed, and the staff were great.
The shower in my room was very difficult and unpleasant to use. There was very little water pressure or volume, the temperature adjustment was very sensitive, and the shower/tap selector did not engage / popped off during my shower. There was no garbage can in the bathroom. Besides that, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. I especially liked the paintings in the room. I was surprised how quiet the room was considering the window faced a busy freeway. However, the shower experience was so negative it overshadowed the good parts.

Bridgett Gonzalez needs to be fired tbh. Wrongfully kicked my friend out of the hotel in the middle of the night because she tried to make him pay for something that should have been charged the next day at checkout. He has video receipts, if you are black/brown & or any non racist I would choose another hotel quite frankly.

I stayed at this place with a few friends, And this is by far one of the worst experiences we've ever had. The manager Bridget Gonzalez is very rude and unprofessional..Not sure how or why she was hired for that position. She has no people skills nor knowledge of hotel policy! A complaint regarding her and this establishment was filed with corporate. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Had a great experience this weekend at Royal Sonesta-we had a couple issues at a previous stay and Janito DeOliviera went over and above to resolve those issues and make sure that we had a great experience! Service was fantastic, rooms were clean and felt plush, and the facilities were beautiful! Would definitely stay again when I am in the Houston area!

This hotel was the most AMAZING experience Ive ever had. We booked a room for the weekend for my daughters 7th birthday. They left a cake and candy in the room for her. Every time she walked by the front desk they reminded her it was her birthday and shes a princess. The service alone will make me book here again. Not to mention the beautiful views and extremely comfortable bed! Thank you to the staff, my family and I appreciate you so very much.

Hotel seems nice on paper, however, there are parking fees, a destination fee on top of the tax and fees you pay when booking the room. Room is outdated. Food and drinks very expensive. The old fashioned was good but not 22 dollars good. It has been 3 days and I still have a 100 dollar hold on my account for incidentals after already being charged for my final bill.
