I stopped here to get some Christmas gifts for others. I do not currently own a dog or cat but if I did, I would absolutely shop here on a regular basis. They have the widest assortment of items I have ever seen. The owner was extremely helpful and asked just the right questions.

High quality food and pretty much the same price ranges like those corporate stores, some items are even more affordable than them big names. I was personally consulted by the manager who appeared to be very patient and passionate about what he does. He provides a lot of educational information that helps me tremendously in catering my pups tastes. I have one 6mo pup and a 3yo and they have different tastes. They both finish their food in like 5 mins. I mixed the new with the old kibbles that I bought in Sam's Club (the company brand) and so far so good. Didn't have any problem. Even so, the manager told me if for some reason, the pups don't like their food, I can exchange to something else to their liking and the opened bags will be donated to a local shelter. (It's so thoughtful of them). Also across the shop you can see posts about dogs and cats that are available for adoption or in need of help for treatment.All and all. Support small businesses, y'all. They have done so much without people noticing their goodness, so at least all we can do is to support them.

They are closed on Sunday and less stock than before. I had to go somewhere else.

Superb knowledgeable small local owned store. Please be patient if they are busy as they give solid personalized customer service. As a first time puppy owner, I love them and they have helped me tremendously. They have great knowledge of other local resources (trainers, day care, groomers, parks) They have taught me many Tips and tricks to improve living with my new pup!Local resources like this are beautiful.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I walked in this establishment with my pup and was not greeted, walked the entire store and not a single word from the staff. I went in after looking at the reviews and decided to go to another pet store nearby on San Felipe. Rude, and unprofessionalism at its finest.

The owner is helpful beyond what you'll find at a larger chain. You might pay a bit more, but it's worth the product knowledge the owner has.

If you can find a better pet store I'll be surprised. Scott is very knowledgeable and friendly - Angela too.. I've been going to this store since the the early 2000's. And once, in a pinch went into a big box store. I ended up throwing away what I bought and getting over to Pet Stop first thing the next morning. Won't make that mistake again. And their prices aren't more than the big guys.
