Unbelievably rotten service. We made and confirmed an appointment for a rabies vaccine for Brodie. I even emailed his papers as they requested. As we arrived, the receptionist asked his name. When we told her, she said, "I thought that's who that was." Then, she couldn't find our appointment. She said that they have been having problems with pet desk and took all of our info as if they were going to honor the appointment. She then announced that we could come back Monday. When we told her we could not and needed his vaccine, she went to the back to see if they could still do it. Some employee came and told us in a very rude tone, "If we didn't call you back to confirm your appointment then you don't have one." Needless to say, none of our 5 pets will ever go there. You shouldn't bother making an appointment here either. Who knows what other undisclosed hoops one has to jump through for the honor of giving them your business.I received a phone call from Valerie, the Practice Manager, regarding the above review. She said that she checked Pet Desk and our appointment was there and confirmed plain as day. Apparently, whoever confirmed it failed to copy it to the office appointment calendar. That's the calendar we needed to be on, but weren't. She said she also spoke with the tech who spoke to us at the end, telling us that there was no availability. She said that they've had conversations with her before about how to speak with clients. I told Valerie that the issue was that she was stern and rude, telling us, "If we didn't call you then you don't have an appointment and we can't see you." My wife reminded me that she also told us the vet had to leave at 1. Valerie said that she also spoke with the vet and the vet could have seen Brodie. In all, Valerie has offered a free consultation, but I really don't know if I want to risk driving all that way only to have the same problem. It's a trust issue. We'll see.

Excellent vet doctor, Jennifer Alquist, DVM and staff. They are a knowledgable, kind and concerned healthcare team who provide excellent care for my pets.

After showing up to an appointment to get an updated vaccine for my puppy, we were told they didn't actually have the vaccine on site. We did not receive a call letting us know in advance and when I asked why we hadn't, I was told that I had. Regardless of the fact I said multiple times I didn't have a missed call. The manager, Valerie, was rude, short, said things were out of her control, basically did everything but the one thing you should do in customer service: apologize and find a way to make it right. This is not the first time this has happened or I wouldn't be writing a review. After showing up for flee visit, I was told they didn't have the flee medication at that location and I'd have to drive to south Houston to get it from another location. You are a Vet Office? How do you so often not have very standard things such as flee medication?Go elsewhere.

I highly recommend Dr. Ahlquist! She is knowledgable, kind, and patient. It genuinely feels like she will collaborate with you to come up with a good plan for your pet's healthcare. She's has helped my older dog with her chronic ear infections for several years, and most recently, she's been great at treating an acute GI issue in my younger dog. We are so grateful for her care!

I've never written a google review before but our consistently negative experiences here have compelled me to write this. The headline is that the admin staff is incompetent and cannot be trusted to execute basic tasks. Specifically, we have experienced:+ Multiple incorrect bills+ Not answering the phone during business hours+ Not answering the door during business hours+ Unable to provide forms related to our dogs in a timely manner+ Clerical error on our dog's vaccination form that got our travel visa deniedThe only nice thing I can say is the vet they employ (Jennifer) is nice but literally everyone else in the building is so bad it has blown my mind. We have moved on to a new vet and will never go back to Corner Vet.

The vet I’ve been seeking in the Heights. Professional, personal and knew exactly what to do. Hell, I even left with my kidney’s. Give them a try!

Convenient location, they seem to care about my dog. It's expensive ($325 for heartworm shot and flea medicine). Takes about a week if I leave a message for an appointment.

I have been coming here for my cat for 7 years. Never had issues. Very friendly staff. Dr. A is so caring and appreciate all the advice she gives. We had to put down our other cat and as terrible as that was the staff and vet made it as best experience as it could be. They are wonderful!

I didn't like the fact that certain charges for medicines were added without first consulting me. In addition, I thought more consultation about overall health and soliciting questions would have been helpful. I know business need to make money but customers shouldn't feel like it's all about the money. I wouldn't say I felt like that totally but definitely to a degree that didn't agree with me.

They were a lifesaver in fitting me in on short notice to look at my dog that hurt his back. Great staff and very reasonably priced

From the minute I walked in, the Corner Vet treated us with the utmost care, respect and professionalism. The front desk and staff were so caring and thorough both physically and financially with my dog's emergency. They did everything they could, even calling her previous vet to see if they could use some of the same lab work to save me money! I could tell that my dog was really cared for and loved while she was there. The vet called me and took her time to answer all of my questions and explained everything that they did during the suturing of her wound. This is our new go to place for everything. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience during a really scary time!

Everyone at the clinic is very friendly and we're very informative when i had a question. I did enjoy the visit with them tremendously however i am upset with their lack of communication within their team.On their website they were having a 50% off first wellness exam promotion that i was planning on using. I went in last Friday and when in the appt the vet tech mentioned the annual package they have and i asked about the 50% off promotion and was informed to tell the front desk about it.When checking out I had spoken to the lovely woman (i can't remember her name but she was the sweetest) at the front desk and she informed me that she didn't have the access to apply the promotion but if i was fine with it they would refund me on Monday (today) the 50% off portion of the wellness exam. I told her that was fine because I had no reason to believe there would be an issue so i paid the full price.I followed up with them today to talk with the manager about the refund and she told me that since it was the annual package the promotion won't be applied. I am fine paying the full price if that was what i was told by their staff but not once was i told that the packages and promotions could not be combined. If i was informed of that I wouldn't have any problem. There is a lack of communication within the team and staff regarding their promotion and packages stipulations. If an employee(s) say that i will be refunded or say nothing about issues arising from using the promotion with the package they recommended as a company you should honor and hold your employees accountable for what they say and fix the issue. If there was any question about whether the promotion and package could be combined at all then it should have been clarified within the practice before i was misinformed.Again I do not mind paying the annual package price but if i'm told something else by multiple people in the practice that is what i am expecting as would anyone else in this situation. It is hard to say if i will decide to go back again considering this was how the first visit with them went which is quite upsetting. I genuinely enjoyed the way they treated my dog and me and could tell she loved it there.

I recently moved to the area, and tried this vet for a while at the beginning of the year. It was easy to make an appointment online. Staff is very nice in person. Price was ok. At first I was pleased. Unfortunately, the practice rarely answers the phone during business hours and never once returned a voicemail . Communication is non-existent. They were regularly closed during their posted hours. They would promise to call with results on Monday, and I wouldn't be able to get ahold of anybody until Wednesday or Thursday. I had a cat with a worsening chronic condition, and the inability to get in touch with this clinic *at all* also complicated my ability get care elsewhere. It took multiple email requests to get correct and complete records from them when I switched vets, as the ones they provided me at my visits did not contain lab results or full clinical information, and they uploaded the wrong vaccine info in the app they use. I was accustomed to a much different level of service and care with my old vet. This place seems to be fine if you just need a vaccine appointment soon- just double check your documentation. Do not use this vet if your pet has a health condition that requires more than a basic annual visit, or if you expect to be able to interact with your vet outside of a website scheduling app.
