About Swift Transportation - Houston Terminal
Swift Transportation - Houston Terminal is a large new facility and drop yard with plenty of parking. It is currently a big parking lot for trailers with one restroom, but no showers or other services are available on site. The yard is lit up and looks fairly new. The entrance is on Attwater Street, with a guard booth at the truck entrance. The company is definitely working on making it a more suitable terminal, with a building including a shop under construction. While it is a work in progress, it represents significant development and there is anticipation for what it will become. Nearby, a Pilot and Love's travel center are located two blocks away.

The yard is excellent. It will be better once the building which will include the shop is built. It has been a long time coming. For those of us who for years kept hearing "They are going to build a yard across the street (from the former Central Freight terminal) it is great to see as much progress as we have.
