Sunset Animal always provides wonderful care for our dog. Dr Ashley Woods goes beyond for her patients. She is a true asset to Sunset. Tech: Stephanie, Dr Kim and Roo: Tiff were very helpful and caring during an emergency visit at 3am. We are grateful for their 24 hour service and expertise.

My family are customers of this facility and have been for more than 5 years. Dog and two cats. I’ve noticed over the past few occasions that the fees that are quoted and then applied don’t match to such an extent that I’ve completely lost trust in them. I feel like I’m at a used car dealership. Bait and switch, fee for this, fee for that, all the joy in having a pet is sucked out because of the greed of the corporation that owns this place. Shame on you. Lost my business and I will actively share my experience with others. I once recommended this place to my friends and family. No longer will I do that.
And the tech said there is a state law that says I must pay the 85 dollar “vet exam fee” prior to getting the shot. I read the state law and I read the codes for Harris County. There is no documentation stating there is a mandatory 85 dollar fee to exam the pet annual to get the shot. There is a fee to register an animal based of the animal being spayed or neutered and the fee schedule adjustes based off age, type of use (service) or length of vaccination.
The law says that a licensed vet has to administer the shot only. So they use this “fee” as another source of revenue. The dr must administer the shot, not exam the animal. BTW why would that “exam” fee be only 85 dollars when your “exam” fee for an appointment to see an animal for anything else is 160 bucks? What is the difference. The difference is the 85 dollars is a BS fee. The shot takes 30 seconds.
At least have the integrity to call the fee what it is An administrative fee. It is not an exam fee. If I can’t Trust you to be honest enough about the fees then I can’t trust you with the health of my animals. Shame on you and shame on the industry as a whole.

This was my first time there for a routine visit for my 3 months old kitten. Everybody was so kind and professional. They answered all my questions patiently and professionally. The doctor was so sweet! And Jessica took care of my Miskha, and he just loved her!!! Highly recommended.

We really love Sunset Animal Hospital! We had to do a walk in for my wheezing cat, they were able to get us in really fast and were very sweet and attentive. They are always very helpful and friendly when we call with questions as well and helped recommend an affordable pharmacy for a long term inhaler. My cat is doing so much better and I feel much better knowing we have a place I trust to take him if his asthma gets worse again.

The front desk staff are absolutely horrible period they have no sense of empathy, compassion or the sense of emergency. I obviously would not be coming to an emergency pet clinic if it wasn't for an emergency. I don't like the Snark attitudes, the little jokey behavior that they have when I walk up to the front desk clearly destroyed about my dog that is currently dying in front of me. I don't know what kind of staff that you guys are hiring or training, but this is very unprofessional. And it makes you guys look bad on your part because it's obvious you guys condone this type of behavior I have seen the reviews on yall's website and people are constantly telling you guys about these horrible front staff members and you continue to do nothing about it.So I will take my business on elsewhere and you guys will never see a dime or penny from me ever again!

Brought my dog there when she was bleeding out due to her giving birth and the lady at the front desk had the audacity to ask me to sign multiple documents as my dog is slowly dying infront of me! Then she proceeded to tell me if I don't pay 3k upfront she won't do the procedure on my dog that was currently dying infront of me. They took her in the back and came and told me one of the puppies had died then try to swindle more money out of me. I said f it and finally went to an actual clinic that would help and they did. And by the way none of the puppies died, they were all healthy and fine so the front desk staff lied to me about one of the puppies to get more money out of me! Needless to say this clinc is horrible and practically the people that work there are scam artists! Go here if you want your money taken away from you and for your animal friends to get no help.

Third or fourth time here. Horrible experience. Had an appointment for 10:30 am, waited 45 minutes before a tech even came in. Then got told by the tech at 11:30 that the Vet was with another dog and would be with us after he got done. Just left, never coming back.
