Houston history in one place.The Heritage Society is a great place to visit to learn about Houston history.You get to travel back and imagine how life was before. You are able to go in some of the houses. You can get a tour guide tour or listen to a prerecorded audio on your phone.

Beautiful park in Texas with awesome sunset and city views. Entire trail is 4.5miles with designated parking slots and accessibility parking options. Sam Houston park is located close to Main street downtown and close to restaurant and cafe.Good to visit for a weekend evening with family

I was here for the Houston 12ks of Christmas run. It’s well maintained, beautiful and has the backdrop of downtown. It’s a great place to stage races or just hang out and have a picnic.

If you visit Houston, you should make a detour here. On the border of downtown there is an open-air museum with historic buildings from Texas and a small museum.
