Not sure if this is Salvation Army or Restoration Hardware. I came here looking for furniture to stage a room for an open house and the used furniture was more expensive than what I would find at the actual furniture store. Wild

I spend money at this location frequently and give donations. I asked the black gentleman for a device, that I could use. But with a smart remark and acted if I asked him something offensive. Even if one person doesn’t have something doesn’t mean the next one doesn’t have it. To me it wasn’t nothing wrong, but sometimes people take something small and make it bigger than what it is. When it comes to customer service, you go the extra mile to make sure the customer know, that you value them, and try your best to meet their needs. I’ve worked in retail for years, and that’s one thing that I gave 100% in, and that’s going the extra mile.

My experience donating at the Salvation Army facility was excellent. Personnel were helpful, positive, and thankful while assisting me with all unloading of the donations, big and small! Since I was impressed with their services and the overall positive help for the community I plan on continuing to donate and tell others. Great job everyone!

While my salvation was not saved and I witnessed no Army, my wallet was certainly spared and I could clothe an Army with the great prices and selection. Friendly staff with a can-do attitude and countless donators come together in beautiful mix of compassion and commerce to create an enjoyable experience you'll be talking about for at least a few days.

Most of the employees here are great, but they should find someone else to train their employees. As I was shopping I noticed an older Hispanic woman was training a new employee. The woman was being so disrespectful toward the new employee, and she was berating the poor woman for apparently not doing her job well. It was gross to watch, and other shoppers were also staring at her. The woman also happened to be our cashier. And she was very standoffish and rude. How can she train new employees when she herself needs to be trained on customer service skills? Without a doubt the Hispanic lady is without a doubt the rudest person in the store. Reprimanding an employee in front of customers is just gross, and wrong. And yet this woman did not seem the least bit embarrassed by how she was speaking to the new employee in front of the customers.

This location never offers any sports or collectivebles at all. I asked about the items and was told that the manager or lead point person has many times pulled donated items from going to the floor and has taken them home for their own personal keeping. From sport memoribilia, cards, autographed items, etc. I recommend an audit to be conducted on the books of the number of related items mentioned being sold at this location in comparison to other stores. More than one staff member has made this mentioning, some one on the inside is stealing donations and taking them out in the back before they make it to the floor. Have visited for many months and yet no items are ever on the floor or sold. Again this source has come from staff members that have witnessed it first hand. Next stop of complain is the Corporate Office, you can't stealing whats is given in good faith.

I think it's a shame that they get stuff free and sale it for way more than they need 129 dollars for a scratched up dresser that is not helping homeless people they are keeping most of it profit

Specifically came here to look at living room furniture but they have crazy prices. $250 for a donated and USED recliner when I could buy a brand new one for $300?

I think this is a great organization and would love to more fully support. We were doing a clean out of my closet and had several pairs of jeans and a ton of long-sleeved shirts ... all on hangers, all fresh from the laundry, pressed and ready to price and hang for sale. However, when we got to the west Houston location, they were indifferent, dumped them in a rolling, dirty metal carrier for shipment to the downtown distribution center ... they said. They did not offer a tax deduction form, which would have been nice. I've gotten better service from Goodwill. While I respect Salvation Army enough to try the main distribution center in downtown Houston next time, I will not continue to support unless I have a better experience.

The people that work here really do NOT seem to care about customer service or getting donations to help their “mission”! I went to donate a trunk full of good clothes but the donation area was closed and no one was willing to help! I drove 45 minutes out of my way because they are suppose to provide clothing and goods to their homeless shelters! I did find out they only accept donations till 4 pm which is did NOT state on their website! I will have to find a more appreciative charity that believes in their mission to serve the less fortunate!
