Residence Inn Houston by The Galleria offers a really good experience for the price. The location is perfect, especially if you want to be close to the Galleria area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall stay was pleasant. The service was great too, with friendly staff ready to help.
For the money, it's absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Houston, this is a solid choice!

Good location near the Gallery mall and many choices for foods. Service is good with hot breakfast. The rooms are kind of old, and the AC was so loud that my wife uses earplugs when sleep. Parking is $17.32 per day

If you ever stayed at a motel 6 or alike. This is the kind of vibe and facility you should expect .
Outdated rooms with dirty carpets. Smell to marihuana in the room and very similar to a 1 star hotel parking lot. Not family friendly at all. Staff is nice but management not so friendly to say the least.
My room was dirty and had to stay one entire week there. Since is an open concept, just to get to the dinner you must walk considerably. Although advertised, jacuzzi has no bubble jets and no hbo.
Most likely you’ll have the same luck I got with missing items in your room, dirty at check in and no luck when reaching front desk.
Did I mention the marihuana smell?
For those staying for the galleria m. There is no walking distance to the nearest entrance, is quite a walk in the Houston’s heat.
Manager said to make it up to me with 11,000 points to my HH. I got 1100 lol oh and I had to call 3 times to remind them or else.

9/28/24 at about 8:30am. I stopped at the front desk and spoke to staff member Gabby about my confirmation for my stay over which she informed me that she did not see in the system. She then went on to mention that $17.50 will come out of my incidental rate because there is a parking fee daily. I explained to her that that was fine, but I was inquiring about my stay over and not about the parking. Again, she advised me that there was nothing in the system. I explained to her that she can leave it as it is as I was unsure about staying an additional night anyway after making the reservation previously. I then asked Gabby if she saw my 4 o’clock checkout in the system that was requested the day before with representative Gina (A platinum elite Reward for members Benefit) which she also claimed wasn’t in the system. I checked in between 1 and 2pm and explained to Gabby that the representative says that she entered it in the system at that time. Gabby then essentially wanted to argue with me that she was there between one and two and she didn’t enter that in system. I explained to Gabby that she wasn’t the one to check me in. I requested for her to check the system and see what time I checked in which she stated 2 o’clock. That is how I received the name of Gina. The night of my stay I cut my feet twice on the bed railing under the mattress (see photos) so it’s possible that things happen for a reason. I found Gabby‘s attitude to be very condescending and she did not apologize for being wrong so I wanted to share my experience. I have been a Bonvoy member for many years and rarely leave horrible reviews. This was earned.
Besides the bed cutting up my feet and the inadequate customer service that I received this morning. The stay was all right.

Stinky abs very old hotel. No renovations has been done ever.
AC unit was making horrible noise, bathroom shower didn’t work. Water kept leaking in the bathroom. Overall bad experience. Never expected this kind of Marriott property.

This is an inn, if you're looking for somewhere just to lay your head with great breakfast selections...this is it.
Rooms: Smelled moldy...made my sister sick.
Walkability: Galleria is 5 mins walk.
Food and drinks: Great selection of breakfast choices.
Noteworthy details: There were weird smells throughout the property.

If i could give 0 stars i would charging for parking without letting someone know is unacceptable then Michelle called me the N word on the phone and hung up on me and told me she was done talking because i asked why was i getting charged for parking then proceeded to say what you going to do and i said i would get her fired and she said who's going to fire me i asked to speak with the manager and she said there is no manager on property and hung up UNPROFESSIONAL

Very good option for a stay with a kitchen, the employees are very friendly, it has a pool and the distances to walks are not that long. It has a shopping center nearby. If I would stay again.

Not bad if you are looking for a place to sleep. Customer service was awesome but they forgot to mention the gym was out of order. The breakfast was good. The place is clean. Nothing fancy but does what it needs to do. This place is affordable. I will come back next time.

I have stayed at this particular location 2 times back in 2017/2018....Now 2024 is completely different, Customer service was awful the owner of this place needs to properly train their front desk workers on communication and grammar skills. The rooms were clean, but later on throughout the night I kept seeing roaches and the front door would not lock, VERY UNSAFE. The room smelled like a smoke house so I was not satisfied since we do pay for the rooms... MARRIOT please please send professionals to this location and clean it up... either they just don't care or they need new management to put things in order. We will never stay here again.
Noteworthy details: Front desk was very disrespectful and unprofessional on all levels.

Location is the only + for this place. Rest is all below average. We stayed for 2 nights in kind suite and had ants here. Not 1 or 2, tons of it. Looks like old condo converted into motel/ hotel. Doors are super noisy and close with big bang. Floors are nasty, bathroom doors won't close, fridge sounded like old diesel car. Avoid. Not family friendly. Didn't feel safe.
