I just had a very long conversation with Michael Plaks and am just amazed. I am part owner of an architectural firm, have owned two other businesses in the past, and have dealt with many professionals in the last 40 years. The conversation ranks in the top five as to quality. We discussed some very esoteric tax issues. Even though I have been around the block a couple of times I am not an expert in taxation. Michael was able to be clear and concise in his explanations. His ability to bring complex issues to a layperson's level is extraordinary. Maybe most impressive, however, was not only his knowledge of the IRS code but his knowledge of how the IRS interprets and enforces the code...which is the real gem.

You will be hard-pressed to find a better expert in the real estate taxation area. If you do anything with real estate you really can’t rely on your average tax preparer to know all the intricacies of RE taxes. There re just too many nuances. Michael Plaks is the go-to guy in the industry. He is nationally known – just check biggerpockets forums. A real fun character to talk to as well. 5 stars!

Michael is the best! He is thorough and will work in the best interest of his clients. He stays on top of all the new tax codes and educates his clients accordingly. I've been friends with Michael Plaks for around 15 years and a client for around 5 or 6. His firm is my fourth CPA firm--the previous three were fired because of poor customer service skills and an inability to explain anything about my tax situation in a way that I could understand. Their work was fine, but I hated spending thousands and feeling clueless. Michael's firm first did the accounting work for my law firm, and I now have a complicated inventory-based business. I happily pay my annual fee because I have complete faith that: (1) the work will be done properly and timely (2) they will take whatever steps necessary, including drawing silly pictures, to help me understand my accounting situations and make informed decisions (3) they are looking out for my best interests. Hire them. You won't regret it.

Michael Plaks' breadth and depth of knowledge is explained so eloquently I have driven over 4 hours each way to participate in his classes for about 10 years.He stays current not only on the IRS codes but also trends like Airbnb versus traditional renting.As a professional accountant for over 25 years, there is no one I would recommend more highly than Michael Plaks.

Michael and his team are very responsive and engaging. There isn't a question Michael can't answer about real estate and taxes! You'd be losing money not to work with him if you invest in real estate.
