Absolutely the worst experience. This company has taken money out of my account for fake charges. Constant calls to Customer Service, left on hold for long periods of time, unprofessional employees providing the worst type of customer service. USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!

The Pods drivers were exceptional. I was totally impressed at the great job they did dropping and picking up the pod. The pick up driver MIKE had a challenge because a construction dumpster was very close and it looked like to was going to be impossible get the equipment to fit. He took his time and moved it the the side inch by inch. It was amazing to see. Great job! I highly recommend pods.

The ease of storage and transportation is great, but the ETA windows are rarely accurate. They gave me an ETA of 1-4pm and the driver showed up at 12:15 while we were still packing the POD and only gave us 15 minutes to finish, which still wouldn’t have been within the original window. Then the drop off window was originally 11am-2pm until it was changed 4 times in one day and it arrived at 5:45pm.

PODS successfully did the bare minimum one can ask from a moving company: they got our belongings from Boston to Houston in one piece.
The City Service drop off went fine, even though the driver arrived two hours early, before our moving help arrived, and before we were ready to start packing. Up to this point, everything went basically as advertised.
The delivery was a nightmare. On the scheduled morning, the website gave a time frame of 1:30pm-4:30pm. The driver called at 4:45pm saying he wouldn’t arrive for another hour. He finally arrived and lowered the Pod onto our driveway at 6pm, upon which we checked the locks and serial number only to find the pod now sitting in our driveway was not our pod. The driver looked at his docket and said that neither he nor the forklift driver had bothered to check the serial number, so they had in fact delivered someone else’s POD. After being on the phone with customer service for nearly an hour, we got the “market manager” on the phone. She promised to make it right and change our drop off day to the next day. We asked if it could be priority the next day since the mistake was PODS and not ours. She reassured us that the driver would be informed of the situation and our request.
3:20pm the next day, the POD driver called to say he was 20 minutes away to pick up our POD—pick up, as in, yet another driver was driving to our house with none of our belongings. I explained that we had not received our POD since the wrong one was delivered the day before. When we asked if he had heard from the market manager we spoke to, he told us the person we were describing did not exist. After calling back and forth between customer service and our driver, our POD (and actually our POD this time) finally arrived around 5pm.
We had no idea where our belongings were or if they had been delivered to another person, for 36 hours. On the day we were moving across the country, this added stress was the last thing we needed.
Yes, PODS delivered our stuff in one piece, but more than 24 hours late, and only after a string of mishaps, transferred calls, uninformed customer service representatives, and incompetent drivers. Do not trust this company.

Beware if you’re on a timeline to move. We scheduled our POD to be delivered yesterday 8/17. They gave us a delivery window from 4:30-7:30 pm. Guess who didn’t show up… and also didn’t call to tell us! PODS! After 30+ minutes on the phone, the corporate office found out that our POD that was to be delivered wasn’t empty AND their driver didn’t have any more hours. After failing to provide a time that would work for us to reschedule (due to our prebooked movers’ schedules), we cancelled. The best they could offer us was 10% off our transfer fee, but still no guarantee that our POD would be delivered on the new date. They also said we could pack our POD at the POD facility, but that would double the cost of our movers and we’d be out even MORE money. Simply not reliable. Best of luck if you use them.

Absolutely horrible experience. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Our belongings were delayed for over a week, they were all damaged, the people on the phone and online lied about the delivery date every time I spoke to them. I waited days for people to call me back that said they would and never got called or emailed. The drivers didn’t even seem to like their job, but agreed that our situation wasn’t rare; that it happens to everyone. Too expensive of a service to be treated this terribly by them.

Terrible service!! This company and country is based on greed!!! The first representative J. Alvarez is eager to make the sale and nevermind what the customer is asking he just wants to make a sale. He lies and states that my mother’s PODs will be picked up July 5th and mind you she needs to be out of the house by today otherwise she accrues $250 a day for staying at the property she sold. He made such a big deal that if she doesn’t close the sale within the 3 days of the delivery date she called to book it she won’t get the dates at all. He was very pushy (of course as all salesmen are) but he made PODS look really bad. These people don’t care about the customer just money. I should’ve went with another company. Beware!!!

PODS needs to provide the driver’s contact number to stay in touch and to save the time, energy and money of the customer. Phone associates have no idea about the driver’s location and every time they just say it is almost reaching/ on the way/ it would have reached by now and in my case it was very upsetting that I had to wait for 9.30 hrs, it was like a torture. Also had to pay for 4 extra hours to the loaders in a city like South San Francisco. Ultimately when the driver arrived with the container, he was not given any lock, straps and blankets while I had booked for that, I was fortunate that I could arrange all these important items myself even at late evening time while also had to pack my bags for next day early morning flight apart from load the container. But it was so stressful.
I and wife can say that it was the worst experience we ever had with a moving service.
