I just think this place has way to may paid parking spots, Us OTR drivers spend a lot of money @ these places to also be charged to park and sleep. There only one row that has free parking and the rest is all paid. Just ridiculous.. that's why I try to stay at Loves cause they are all free.. Flying J's need to be more trucker friendly especially the way inflation is these days. They are making a lot of money inside and with the fuel already so why not I just open up a few more rows of free parking. Sad Sad Even there point system kinda sucks also.. I'd rather just do my fuel and showering @ Loves but this company uses Flying J's fuel card so might as while get the points for at least free showers.

This is by far the worst rest area I have ever seen. A couple of my kids had a flat tire on 45. Road side assistance came out (thank you, milstead towing) and towed them off the freeway and safety to dennys/pilot. The manager was the rudest I have ever seen as well as the security guard. Both cussed out minor children as well as the tow truck driver. They didn't need to be there for very long but due to the rudeness of the staff here, we had the vehicle towed elsewhere. I would and will never recommend this place for anything.

Stopped in to fill up gasoline on a personal vehicle. No chip reader at the pump but went ahead and swiped my card. Said my card was declined and to see the cashier. Nope, I'll go across the street to a convenience store. While filling up I had gotten a text message from my bank that let me know of a fraudulent purchase at the Pilot. Over $150. Nope, wasn't me so the card was deactivated and now have to wait a week for a new debit card. POS should go find a damn job instead of stealing money. Lesson learned. No chip reader? Not getting my business.

This place was very clean and organized. The restroom was spotless and they had a variety of things that I would not have expected to find.

Parking isn't as bad as other reviews led me to believe. It has a normal number of free spots for a PFJ and fills up about as fast as Birmingham FJ. (though this one has an active Denny's)

DO NOT COME IN THE CITY TO STAY THE NIGHT FOR THE NEXT DAY DELIVERY. IF YOU HAVE A CANADIAN LICENSE PLATE ON YOUR TRUCK, YOU ARE JUST NOTHING BUT A TARGET OF CRIME!
I can understand a big city, so many reserved parking spaces more than other places; but I wish not being cheap to invest with that earned fund for patrolling the truck parking lots more often from 1 to 5 am.
Anyway, the fuel thieves a lot this city!
A thief stole about 160 gallons of my diezel while I was sleeping two nights in a row.
The property management can not control even though the police department looks like treating like a minor thing even though I have a dash cam record data that the police can identify the thief, but NO SHOW to pick it up!
To save the police effort, I watched the whole night data and wrote down the time, which they can recognize the unusual suspects' car and trailer. They do not care because am I a Canadian?
I had waited over 5hrs for a deputy and made 2 times extra non-emegency line calls because of 2hrs normal waiting time in Houston; however, they were too busy to get the video record files. Justice should be equally to everyone!
Their duty is catching the bad guys.
It is just nothing but negligence; should not I tell them I am a Canadian?
I saw the video and noticed these.
1st: Before midnight, no trailer, a pickup truck, or car circles around to plan for the targets; it looks like from outside the USA.
2nd: After midnight, the same car with a trailer that looks like a suspicious tank system is covered by some tarp.

0 Star.... The employees at this truck stop always say that I don't have a shower but if you pay them they will give you one even if you have an unlimited shower. When you pay them they put the money in their pocket. It's always the same every time I go. They turn off the washing machines so you have to pay an employee to wash your clothes in their washing machines and the money in their pocket.

Parked to do a 34 hr reset to spend time with kids when I got back to the truck I had a sticker on my window saying abandoned vehicle will be towed. These rules just changed apparently.
Now if I want to leave truck in parking for 34 hrs it must be reserve spot. So at 18 bucks a pop that's 36 bucks my kids could enjoy. It's one thing if reserve parking was the only thing available but it's not

Nice clean store with very helpful and friendly employees. Fuel pumps need a little work.
