I'm an elderly handicapped lady with a small yorkie Today we were kicked out of the store by Al. the owner the rudest man I've ever in my whole 72 years have ever encountered. he claimed my yorkie peed in his store. I never saw her pee. i tried to apologize and say I didn't know. He yelled at me that I need glasses. He yelled at me to get out!! I let him know I'm handI capped and need a minute He said he didn't care.... Ponted with his ugly skinny hand to get out! As I left I noticed a sticker on his door that They Love Dogs! My husband also handicapped got on his knees to clean up a teaspoon of dog pee. if there even was any.... Al himself owns a greyhound who was also in the store. poor dog... We will never go back To add my poor husband had been so excited to start a hobby. We will do business elsewhere

Great place to visit and shop for model train products. Large selection of Consignment items reasonably priced. Just have to visit frequently to get the bargins before they dissappear! Staff has always been friendly to me.

Allyn was extremely rude - definition of a grumpy old man. Was disappointed to do a little research and find out he’s the owner.I had my children with me and they were behaving and keeping their hands to themselves. Just looking around and at the display behind the plexiglass.. At the very end I allowed them to pick one piece of a track and one small train cart. Allyn came over barking that we were going to have to purchase the items (which we had planned to do and he knew that as he was hovering over us) and terrified my kids. Had they not really wanted their items I would have walked out. Waste of $55 - I hate that we supported this business.A search on local Facebook pages shows this is a common occurrence with this man - too bad. Probably time to retire.

I visited this place for the first time. It has something for all model railroaders, all scales, trains, scenery etc. There is also an N Scale model railroad layout that runs on Saturdays. Really cool.

Extremely informative and reasonable prices with a great variety. They also fix trains and on Saturdays open up the model room to use and run your trains in. Kid friendly place as well. Hands down best place ever.

I was told that this was the Place in Houston for N Scale parts.... I went in and every question I asked was greated with "I don't do N.... I only do HO....." What an Old Putz!!!!If you are going to run or work in a shop, please at least learn your craft!!!!!Unless things change dramatically, I will NEVER go back!!!!! Mail order works!!!!

First time visit today (3/17/23). Me and wife were in town for a dr appointment and stopped by to browse their selection. Really nice guys in the store, offered to help us with anything but allowed us to just browse. I was not In a position to purchase anything this visit, but I will definitely be back. HUGE selection and I love his consignment sections. Highly recommend checking this place out.

I had visited this place once before and bought it model train set. I visited again to see if there was anything new in the story and to just take a look. When I got to the door and as I reached for it (I am going to presume it was the owner. ) He opened the door, and he had a leash, dog on the other end. and came out of the store lock the door behind him and didn't say anything to me whatsoever. I just kind of thought that was rude. For a train enthusiast, it was very disappointing.

I think some of the things are overpriced a BNSF Kato locomotive is $130 and on Amazon its $90Update I just got the Amtrak P42 #108 and on the Kato website it's $215 and i got the train on discount today
