I just recently went to the Houston Texans versus Rams preseason game and all was fun until I got to the gate to check in. I am a huge football fan and I show that by dressing the part and that day I brought my Miami dolphins football helmet to show my pride for my team antics the game but they let me know that I could not and would not bring the helmet in. I was sadden by the experience due to having brought it to every other football game I’ve been too so I put the helmet away and while in the stadium I saw there where people in the game with football helmets I was very disappointed that I was the only person that was made to put there helmet back in there car so I was not able to fully appreciate the game and the NRG atmosphere. At the end of the game they came up to me and let me know that I can bring it for the next game but that’s not the point you had Already messed my day up so for that reason I give them 3 stars

NRG is such a cool experience for parents and kids! The Texans game is the best experience ♥️?
The bathrooms are always clean and the food variety is amazing!

Security: Outside of the stadium the neon shirt individual stated portable electric handheld fans were NOT allowed. It was 100 degrees, so with a sweaty face and stubby finger pointing to some postcard sized sign, we were told, “Take it to your car or you can’t come in”. We threw the fan away, HOWEVER, seen several OTHER people with portable electric hand held fans inside the venue. Photo attached. BEWARE
Food: $29+ for Truth BBQ brisket nachos (poured over cheap chips and canned nacho cheese) and a McDonalds sized large drink. Was just 'meh'. Unlimited refills on the drink was nice.
Restroom: Clean and plentiful
Parking: Prices vary based on the event. We paid $60; no cash allowed. There was parking between the purple NRG lot and Fiesta grocery store for less than NRG park charged; seemed sketchy to me.

Great seats, great stadium. It was leaving the area after the game that was the problem. We arrived by Uber so we were dropped off in front of the stadium. However, when leaving apparently there's a designated rideshare lot that you have to go to. It would've been nice to see a sign or two letting people know. We asked a limo driver, who directed us around the corner to the yellow lot. Well naturally after a game, the streets are blocked with cars so the ubers aren't able to get to the lot. At least ours couldn't. We had to walk several blocks to meet up with him, luckily he was patient and didn't cancel or leave us. It was a very hot day.

Beautiful stadium. Very clean. The only negative part is the staff. No friendly at all. We sat in the 600 level for a preseason game and the ushers demanded to see our tickets. As if anyone in the 100 level would sneak up to 600 level seating.
Also the bag policy is ridiculous. My daughters had a tiny belt bag (fanny pouch) and they wanted us to put them in lockers for $25. Wow
